How are these czw shows

I am thinking of getting these czw tapes.  There are also some othger wrestling shows that are not CZW but would like some feedback on. What are your thoughts on them?  Any crazy shit on these?  Thanks.

On the CZW I think I'd just take a pass on stuff before 2001...it's 50/50ish...plus the vq was not good for the tapes.

 

Best of the Best is a 3 and a half hour tape of jr heavyweights...Jay vs Mark Briscoe is a classic!

 

6/8/01 has an insane swanton bomb by Ric Blade...solid show on top of that.

 

Stretech in Smyrna is pretty good.

 

ECW 1/13/01 is just ok...but it was their last show ever and is kind of cool to have because of that.

 

I liked Hardcore Heaven 99...Storm vs Dreamer was a good brawl...the backstage stuff with the Dudleys was great...I think there was Crazy vs GUido and Taka vs Tajiri matches, I might have those backwards though.

CZW Barbwire Brawl

Do NOT get this.  Utterly awful.  I can't even begin to describe to you how horrible this is.  Totall indy trash.

 

CZW Ultraviolent 99

This is hard to say.  Overall, the wrestling is pretty crappy, but it does have a collection of some of the most bizarre hardcore matches I've ever seen, so if you're into the bizarre, maybe you'd like to give it a look.  The only match on the tape that I consider any good is the Staple Gun / Ladder match between Justice Pain & Nick Gage, but it's not good enough to order the tape.  As for the rest - you get weird shit.  Cage of Death 2 is maybe the oddest cage match I've ever seen.  Or will ever see.

 

CZW Stretchered in Smyrna

A generally awful show, but the Ric Blade / Briscoes vs. S.A.T. match is great fun to watch.  The rest you can take or leave.  Mainly leave. The main event is abysmal.

 

If I can recommend one CZW tape, it'd be CZW UnF'nbelievable.  Most of the wrestling on that one is pretty awful, but the "Fans bring the weapons" match between Justice Pain / Johnny Kashmere v. Nick Mondo / Jun Kasai is some of the sickest, bloodiest shit I've ever seen.

In general, try to avoid anything done prior to 2001 with CZW, as they were a really bad garbage fed in their early years.  Ultraviolent '99 is handheld fancam crap, though They Said It Couldn't Be Done is worth a look just for the novelty of an exploding barbed wire match in America.  (Match sucked, but is still of historical value I guess.)  And I thought Stretched In Smyrna was overall a very good show.
