How did you delete them without them being in the Recycle Bin? Did  you delete them in DOS or something?

He may have deleted them off of a ZIP disk.  When I delete from my ZIP the stuff doesn't go into the recycle bin.

there are programs that can be used to recover deleted files, I think Norton makes one, but i'm not sure the name or how much it costs

hmmm is there a UnDelete program in Dos that can recover the files?

Norton System Works or Utilities has a program that can protect the Recycle Bin and a Shredder program to destroy files so noone will ever find out about sensitive material :)

Try looking at the Recycled Bin folder in the Windows Explorer, you might get lucky.

He probably does like I do, where I just have files deleted instead of them going to the Recycle bin first and then having to delete them.  Saves a step and I'm all about doing things as quick and easy as possible.

Or maybe it gave that message "The folder 'Jimmy's MP3s' is too large to fit in the Recycle Bin. Do you REALLY want to delete it?".
