Guest razazteca Report post Posted May 23, 2002 not sure if it will happen but Joanie challenged Butafucco to a match with her "special rules" then the announcers made a comment about Celebrity Wrestling.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted May 23, 2002 Well i'm glad whoever started this wasn't serious about the pbp aspect. That would've just been very very sad. And whoever was wondering if we weren't watching...why'd you act surprised that someone wouldn't be? I admit i watched the last match, but only because a friend told me that Howard Stern said Chyno got beat this morning. So who am i to miss a chance to laugh at Joanie. Guest Flyboy Report post Posted May 23, 2002 did you notice that whenever Joanie went for a jab to Joey's head, he was like "Bitch please" and had her on the run after a few punches. Hehehe... that line killed me.

Guest Kingpk Report post Posted May 23, 2002 Ok, time for a little advice to FOX. When Screech v. Horshack is the best match on the card, you know it's time to drop this whole facade that celebrities can actually fight.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted May 23, 2002 They need to bring in Nell Carter, I'm sure she could have a good fight with someone.

Horshack is the best match on the card, you know it's time to drop this whole facade that celebrities can actually fight. Are you kidding me dude? That sucked ass. I thought it was fixed with how weak they were taking to each other in the first round. It was only any good because it had a knockout. The best fight was Conger's I think. Guest J*ingus Report post Posted May 23, 2002 Okay, my two cents: 1. Women's match: certainly not any worse than that Catfighting tape, decent action, and a clear winner. 2. Screech vs. Horshack: Screech BRINGS THE SKILLS~! Seriously, he surprised me, he's obviously had some real training. Of course, it helped him a lot that Horshack just stood there with his hands down like an idiot, practically begging to get punched in the face as many times as he did. 3. Fridge vs. Bol: man, this sucked. Maybe three punches actually connected, and Fridge kept trying to bear-hug or tackle Bol. Imagine a Mark Henry vs. El Gigante match, and that's exactly what this was. 4. Chyna vs. Buttafuco: I got worried for Joanie when Joey came out with some DAMN big arms, covered in tattoos. And then the shit hit the fan. Joanie wasn't a very good fighter, she kept turning her back whenever she was on defense, but why the hell wasn't Joey disqualified for all the crap he was pulling? Pushing, shoving, grabbing, holding, and at one part he actually hooked her and fucking HIPTOSSED her down. For god's sake, Piper was DQ'd for doing that in a WORKED match at Wrestlemania 2. And he won, barely, by judges' decision, despite his cheating and the fact that he never really landed a clean punch, while Laurer did get in a couple. Mind-boggling, Joey came off like the world's biggest asshole. All in all, entertaining to an extent, but I was only really watching for Screech and Chyna. Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted May 23, 2002 All I can say is RECAP~! Actually, I was going to recap it for the site until I realized I had no good jokes with such a limited moveset. I mean, all they did was forearms and jabs, couldn't they throw in any kicks, or suplexes, or anything? Darva Conger vs. Olga - Olga chants fill the arena! OK, not really, but there were quite a few at the beginning. Olga did good, but in the end the 10 year, four inch advantage Conger had over her caused her to win. Conger? I know I'm getting that last name wrong... Dustin "Screech" Diamond vs. Horshack - Damn, a 20 year age difference! This is gonna be bad... D.D. kicks ass though (seriously he does, with his martial arts and serious training... I heard he took part in some indy wrestling before, but not as a wrestler; he could do it, and look convincing), plus he gets the bad "Saved by the Bell" pun out of the way in the pre-match segment so nobody else can! I came to see Screech win, and he did. What more could I ask for? Bol vs. Le Frigidaire - Christ... this was a mess! Jingus described it best as El Gigante vs. Mark Henry. Bol did make the attempt though, which is more than I can say for Le Frigidare, who I swear couldn't even move. Bol was really only in it for the money to help his people though, and for that I respect him, since nobody else seems to give a damn about Sudan. I didn't know Bol was so old though... Joanie "who played the character Chyna in WWF" Laurer vs. Joey Butafuco - OK, I honestly don't know who Joey Butafuco is, but he got over as a heel really well. Like all heels, he can do illegal stuff like THROW HIS OPPONENT (WTF?) and not only not get DQ'ed, but win the match nonetheless. I didn't like Chyna at all, but Laurer put up a decent fight, and got in some good solid hits. So... looks like Fox's best specials franchise is still "When Animals Attack..." until they can pay someone to fake another alien autopsy video.
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted May 23, 2002 You don't think the Chyna-Buttafuco match was a work, do you? Her challenging him to a "special rules" match? You know the only sport where stuff like that happens is pro wrestling. This match was just done to set up the rematch, because FOX wanted to save the Chyna-Joey "blowoff" for the next one and hook the viewers. I knew Bol ws going to win, even though everyone predicted Fridge was kill him. I knew Fridge was too fat to do anything.
Guest ant_7000 Report post Posted May 23, 2002 Darva vs. Olga: was ok, I was surprised that Darva did well and Olga fought with some heart at least, but I think if Olga didn't have that massive head gear on she would've been knock down. Screech vs. Horshack: Screech fucked him up (see Horshack's eye.) It was funny how Horshack was looking all intense and Screech showboating to the fans. Fridge vs. Bol: Fridge should've kick Bol's ass if he lost about 150lbs this was the most hype match in the previews and turn out to be the worst match of the night. Chyna vs. Joey Buttafucco: Joey looking like a reject from the Sopranos. Me and my mom laughed our asses off when Buttafucco threw her to the floor. But in fairness Boom Boom had it right Chyna was throwing better punches and Joey set the tempo of the fight. Joey seemed like he just shrugged her offense off and was countering grabbing/punching, and holding her. I thought she should've won because Joey was cheating. If they wanna have a boxing show then BRING BACK THUNDERBOX.
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted May 23, 2002 Rob Van Dam was in the crowd? I bet the WWE won't stoop that low and make mention of it.
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted May 23, 2002 Rob Van Dam was in the crowd? I bet the WWE won't stoop that low and make mention of it. Awesome. Is it at all indicative of cultural decay when professional wrestling is in a position to look down upon something?
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted May 23, 2002 Oh yeah, just remembered, it seemed like Joanie's headgear did NOT fit well at all, the chinstrap was nowhere near her chin and the whole thing kept shifting around, at one point the ref even had to stop them & adjust it. Between that & Joey's dickish near-cheating, I can't believe that the judges could've ruled that she lost. Made no sense whatsoever. Supposedly, RVD was backstage for most of the event, and wandered out at one point right before the Laurer match, prompting those "R-V-D" chants.
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted May 23, 2002 Joanie "who played the character Chyna in WWF" Laurer vs. Joey Butafuco - OK, I honestly don't know who Joey Butafuco is, but he got over as a heel really well. FYI, Joey Buttafuoco (sp?) is the guy who had an affair with Amy Fisher, and had her shoot his wife in the head. Amazingly, the wife survived, and even more amazingly, she forgave him. Guest DragonflyKid Report post Posted May 23, 2002 It was a horrible show, the mismatches are what made it far worse than the first one. They should at least went for matches that would be close instead of freakshow booking. I do admit the Laurer/Buttafucco match was funny, he was a total prick pushing her around and hitting her after the bell. I did mark out for Screech and the crazed look of his opponents eyes was great.
Guest Report post Posted May 23, 2002 Why are you guys ripping on Fridge/Bol? That match had me in tears, and the post match comments were great. "So Fridge, it looks like you had a bit of a stamina problem out there?" And the ref telling them to fight better was just classic. Fridge barely even moved in that match, and I think like maybe 3 of Bol's punches landed. That's one of the funniest things I've seen in years.
