Wrestler To Sue Director For Negative DVD?

Recommended Posts

http://www.prowrestling.com/news.php?id=15101/articles/news

Michael Moody, director of the great 101 Reasons Not To Be A Pro Wrestler DVD, sent word today that one of the stars of his documentary is now threatening to sue the director.

While Moody is sure that there are no grounds for the lawsuit, he is at this time un-willing to release the name of the wrestler in question. Everybody in the documentary signed a “release form” (assumedly prohibiting any kind of legal issue, such as this, from the comments that are released on the DVD), which has basically got Moody’s back covered.

It was made clear, however, that the wrestler in question is not ‘Babi Slymm’, the wrestler who it was reported last week actually physically provoked Moody after taking a series of questions he wasn’t really ready for, and didn’t specifically want to answer. All part of being involved in a documentary dishing the dirt and looking at the negative side of pro wrestling, really.

In related news, the second print of the 101 Reasons DVD is almost out of stock. It is imagined that if sales stay steady through until the weekend, all copies will be sold out by Sunday at the latest. With this news going public, it could be marginally sooner, so it’s probably best to get your copy sooner rather than later to avoid missing out. It’s available from the official website, over at http://www.hollymoodentertainment.com/order.htm

It's great that the DVD is selling well, but the guy has attempted to drum up ANY type of interest to sell the damn thing. So, the story is, he just might get sued, but there's no way the other party could conceivably have a case? And this means what?

Can't he simply sell the damn product on the fact that he shilled the hell out of it before its release, without having to resort to these post-release "incidents" week after week?

It's a pretty lame documentary. No big shock that the guy is resorting to whatever he can to generate interest before word gets out about how bad it is.
