Guest Fook Report post Posted September 2, 2005 I'm having this strange problem with my burner and am wondering if anyone can help me. For some reason, when I'm burning a 700mb CD, the burner will treat it as a 650mb one. It'll burn the info up to the 700mb point and claim it burned properly, but anything burned after the 650mb mark will not work. The file(s) will be on the CD, but they won't load and running them causes my comp to crash. To clarify, if the CD has a single 700mb file, the file won't work. If it has a single 500mb file, it will run smoothly. Say there are multiple files on the CD, for example File1 is 200mb, File2 is 150mb, File3 is 325mb, and File4 is 10mb. Then File1 and File2 will work fine, but every time I try to open File3 and File4 it'll crash because they both have info written on the CD after the 650mb point (in File3's case only the last 25mb is after the 650mb point, but the effect is still the same). As far as I know, this only happens for data CDs as I can burn VCDs and SVCDs with no problem no matter the amount of info placed on the disk. I have not tried an audio CD. The weirdest part is that there are some CDs brands for which this doesn't happen and everything will work as it should. Can anyone help?
