Vampiro69 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2005 While there have been several great mini's released this year I have to say that the best and probably most underrated two are as follows. Lex Luther Man of Steel: I thought that the artwork and the story was outstanding. The story of how he views Superman's affect on society was an interesting read. However, the only downside I have for the story was the nowhere side plot of Luthor involving Batman early on. The Question: The unique artowrk and the storyline was enough to make me buy the series. I would really like to see Azzarello write for him since it would be off the charts. Any nominations that you would like to include?
Guest ChikoDemono Report post Posted September 4, 2005 Villains United. The only series leading up to Infinte Crisis I was interested in. Fantastic characterization and a fun underdog plot. Plus, any comic that can make Catman an intriguing villain (hero? anti-hero?) gets an A from me.
Guest JMA Report post Posted September 4, 2005 I liked Lex Luthor: Man of Steel but I thought it needed an extra issue to wrap things up. The Batman thing bothered me because there was no explanation for it. I'd say that Green Lantern: Rebirth is my favorite completed mini-series. Do mini-series that aren't finished yet count? If so, I'd have to mention the Infinite Crisis tie-in books (especially Day of Vengeance), JSA Classified, and Justice.
Vampiro69 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2005 Yeah you can count them, but hopefully they don't end up being duds in the end. I have also enjoyed OMAC Project as well. To make a list of the series I have liked this past year have been Identity Crisis Lex Luthor Man of Steel The Question Days of Vengence Villians United OMAC Project Green Lantern Rebirth Sorry but I really haven't been able to afford much Marvel titles so I am not sure what to include in this list, so a bit of help would be appreciated. The only titles from Marvel I collect are the Ultimate Marvel titles and Supreme Power.
