Guest MikeSC Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Man, Philly's pass defense is horrible.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Oh the BK commercial is great too, of course. Vick is playing fucking perfect tonight. Great game by the Falcons thus far.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Westbrook scores a TD, 14-7. They can't allow another score here or they're in deep trouble. Hubie Brown is there in the booth, I want some upside comments.
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Well, the upside is that John Madden isn't making pointless comments about the game now.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Allright, 3rd and 16. Why do you call a screen to the fullback? Especially when the fullback is a terrible runner? Throw it to Westbrook who has some speed.
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted September 13, 2005 I bet he was dared to call that play.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Nice 2 sacks there, defense is finally getting some pressure. Reid needs to call some screen plays to Westbrook, as Ed Donatell is doing the same thing that Dick LeBeau did last year in the Pittsburgh game, which is send tons of pressure. Offense is starting to roll, this may be the turning point.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 I was blowing a gasket at the beginning of this game but things seem to have settled down. I really think I'm the only Eagles fan in Oklahoma.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Jesus Christ did Akers go visit Florida State or something?
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Did he and Stover work together this summer?
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Ugh I hate missed field goals, it'd be 14-13 if it wasn't for Akers totally losing his head. Well it could be worse right now, onl 14-7 at halftime and it looks like Atlanta's offense is cooling off. They need to make some adjustments on the passing game at halftime. Guest MikeSC Report post Posted September 13, 2005 I'm a Gamecock. My team showed how much a horrible kicker can hurt you in a big game.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 I really can't explain Akers' shitty performance tonight. He usually kicks well in the Linc, which may have replaced the Meadowlands for worst winds in the NFL. Something isn't right with him, he was kicking bad in the preseason too. Kickers might be the most mentally fragile players in football, if they go on a streak of misses they sometimes can turn into headcases.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 The Eagles problem tonight has been that they've been getting dominated in the trenches, a marked difference from January where they were getting tons of push against the Falcons' DL and giving McNabb tons of time. Trotter not being there hurts too, as they've had to rely on a second year guy and Mark Fucking Simoneau, who must have compromising pictures of Reid and Jeff Lurie to still be on the team. therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Oh Christ, the comedy continues. I have never seen so many blown chances in an opposing teams' territory like I have seen in this game.
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Man, the Eagles just don't look like a SB contender at all.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Come on guys! Figure it out on offense!
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 They always look like shit in the first game. 2001 they got beat by the Rams in the first game, 2002 they blew a lead against the Titans, 2003 they got shutout by the Bucs. I'd say make an evaluation of them probably in Week 6 after they've gotten a few games under their belt.
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted September 13, 2005 The concern is that they're being physically dominated by a team that does not usually physically dominate teams.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 I think Atlanta was seriously pumped for this game, mostly because of they wanted to use this as a litmus test of where they were at. If this was the AFC, I'd be extremely worried. Oh fucking Christ, they fucking fumble just as I'm trying to defend them.
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted September 13, 2005 And the Eagles with a clutch turnover.
