Oh the BK commercial is great too, of course.

Vick is playing fucking perfect tonight. Great game by the Falcons thus far.

Well, the upside is that John Madden isn't making pointless comments about the game now. :)

Nice 2 sacks there, defense is finally getting some pressure.

Reid needs to call some screen plays to Westbrook, as Ed Donatell is doing the same thing that Dick LeBeau did last year in the Pittsburgh game, which is send tons of pressure.

Offense is starting to roll, this may be the turning point.

Ugh I hate missed field goals, it'd be 14-13 if it wasn't for Akers totally losing his head.

Well it could be worse right now, onl 14-7 at halftime and it looks like Atlanta's offense is cooling off. They need to make some adjustments on the passing game at halftime.

I'm a Gamecock. My team showed how much a horrible kicker can hurt you in a big game.

I really can't explain Akers' shitty performance tonight. He usually kicks well in the Linc, which may have replaced the Meadowlands for worst winds in the NFL. Something isn't right with him, he was kicking bad in the preseason too. Kickers might be the most mentally fragile players in football, if they go on a streak of misses they sometimes can turn into headcases.

The Eagles problem tonight has been that they've been getting dominated in the trenches, a marked difference from January where they were getting tons of push against the Falcons' DL and giving McNabb tons of time. Trotter not being there hurts too, as they've had to rely on a second year guy and Mark Fucking Simoneau, who must have compromising pictures of Reid and Jeff Lurie to still be on the team.

They always look like shit in the first game. 2001 they got beat by the Rams in the first game, 2002 they blew a lead against the Titans, 2003 they got shutout by the Bucs. I'd say make an evaluation of them probably in Week 6 after they've gotten a few games under their belt.

The concern is that they're being physically dominated by a team that does not usually physically dominate teams.

I think Atlanta was seriously pumped for this game, mostly because of they wanted to use this as a litmus test of where they were at. If this was the AFC, I'd be extremely worried.

Oh fucking Christ, they fucking fumble just as I'm trying to defend them.

If the Eagles win this game, Brian Dawkins would have just saved their asses.
