Guest liberal Report post Posted May 23, 2002 I am a huge wrestling fan and have been for the past ten years (I am only 16). i used to watch raw religiously in the days of DX etc but one thing i dont ever remember seeing was something that everyone talks about called the curtain call. Can someone please tell me about this. What happened - who done it - what was the significance - what was the follow up to it - the consequences of it - anything at all. I thik that i am the only person to not know what this is so can you please enlightn me.
Guest caboose Report post Posted May 23, 2002 I can't be bothered to explain it all, but it basically revolves around... (falls asleep)
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted May 23, 2002 The only curtain call I can think of is Goldust's finisher.
Guest swan Report post Posted May 23, 2002 The only curtain call I can think of is Goldust's finisher. I believe he is talking about the garden Incident w/ the cliq. Is that what you mean?
Guest muzanisa Report post Posted May 23, 2002 You'll never see it because it was a house show (non televised). Nash and Hall were on their way to WCW so lost to Michaels + HHH. At the end of the main event all four men came out, hugged each other + made the Klique sign either in the ring or on the ramp ( I forget). Since this was before Kayfabe was broken down it pissed off management that guys who had been fighting each other earlier acknowledged their backstage friendship. Nash + Hall were going, Michaels was champion and above punishment so Hunter who was scheduled to win KOTR that year was depushed and the Crown went to Austin who cut a promo on Jake Roberts mentioning Austin 3:16 said I just kicked your ass, and very many T-shirts were sold as a result. There might be more to it but if there is I can't remember and it is seen as significant because of KOTR and Austin.
Guest muzanisa Report post Posted May 23, 2002 Caboose just saw your sig, Dynamite kid was the greatest wrestler ever, British or otherwise. Don't want to piss on a mans grave but please don't deieify him because he died young. Rollerball Rocco, Doug Williams, Jody Fleisch, and probably at least half a dozen others are/were better. The British Bulldogs were the greatest tag team ever.
Guest swan Report post Posted May 23, 2002 You'll never see it because it was a house show (non televised). I believe it was recorded by a hand-cam in the crowd. Can anyone give us a positive on this?
Guest swan Report post Posted May 23, 2002 Dynamite kid was the greatest wrestler ever, British Amen to that.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted May 23, 2002 I didn't know that was referred to as the curtain call. I always called it the Kliq's Farewell.
Guest Report post Posted May 23, 2002 I believe it was recorded by a hand-cam in the crowd. Can anyone give us a positive on this? I have the Triple H and Chyna video "Its Our Time", and they show a few seconds of it. Its pretty shitty quality, but they've put in little labels and arrows so you can see who each guy is. Its kind of cool to finally see it, but if you're not a HHH fan (and if you're on this board, you're probably not) then its not worth your money to buy the tape. Guest caboose Report post Posted May 23, 2002 I have a short video clip on my PC of when HBK and HHH showed it on RAW. The quality is bearable, if anyone wants it, search for it on the KAZAA network.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted May 24, 2002 I know you can buy the Fancam. I have seen it on a few tape trading websites.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted May 24, 2002 I didn't know that was referred to as the curtain call. I always called it the Kliq's Farewell. Me either... I always thought it was referred to as the Madison Square Garden Incident.

The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith is the one that just passed away. When you pray about the passing of someone make sure that person is actually passed on. Guest TheHulkster Report post Posted May 24, 2002 It says most popular which is true for the most part. *tries thinking of more popular british wrestlers*....i'll get back to ya if I think of one.
Guest caboose Report post Posted May 24, 2002 Well actually I changed it from 'Greatest' to 'most popular' after all the PMs I got about it.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted May 24, 2002 A clip of DX showing that footage on Raw is also on The Best Of Raw Vol. 1 I think. Or possibly the DX Home Video, I'm not sure since I haven't seen either one in a little while.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted May 25, 2002 I read somewhere that the guy who ran the fan cam is howling like an idiot through the whole thing, so turn the sound down if you get it I guess.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted May 25, 2002 Ken Anderson (411) reviewed the entire show, so there is footage of it somewhere.

Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted May 28, 2002 You'll never see it because it was a house show (non televised). Nash and Hall were on their way to WCW so lost to Michaels + HHH. Actually Triple H defeated Razor "Scott Hall" Ramon earlier in the show, and Michaels beat Diesel in the main event. It was not a tag match. After the match, Diesel and Michaels hugged, and the other two came out, and they made signs to the crowd that are now known as the "Wolfpack" or "Clique" sign. Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted May 28, 2002 I bought it off e-bay a few years ago. The quality is fucking shit and the guy recording it does sound like a fucking retard, but it's still intresting to watch. They basically just celebrate around the ring and huge each other and stuff. I barely watch it anymore cause it wasn't really anything special watching again.
