Guest Brian Report post Posted May 23, 2002 To play Anglesault's advocate for the moment...How long before it's scaled back up?
Guest Ripper Report post Posted May 23, 2002 Now, let me explain why this is a horrible thing.....no...really. Now, Bradshaw is a well liked guy by the WWF(E) brass, right. He didn't get over as much as they wanted in ONE FREAKIN MONTH of a "monster push" (which wasn't that monster to begain with) and now they are killing it. This might sound good if you don't like Bradshaw(and believe me I don't) but this is what is keeping the WWF boring and repetitive. It takes more than a month to push someone and make the crowd care. If what Bradshaw just got was a monster push, well then the company is in for trouble. They have to have dedicated pushes. If the crowd doesn't like it, you have to tough it out sometimes. Kanyon got a month long push, was mildly over...and it ended. Rhyno got a month long push, wasn't over as they wanted, it ended. DDp got a month long push(the whole smiley thing) and they ended it. Lesnar, Booker T, Christian, RVD, Jerhico, the cruiserweight division, all got the kibosh put on them in about a month or so. That is what is wrong. In the WWF's great times, they pushed people and pushed them hard, if they were a little over, just alittle, they would push them until they were over HUGE!! How long did it take the crowd to really hate/love the Rock, HHH, or Austin. If they had aborted their pushes just because they weren't getting over at the rate they wanted, then we wouldn't have 3 of the biggest starts ever(and some damn fine matchs) today. Hopefully, this Bradshaw thing isn't a show of continued lack of backbone by the writing staff and just fallout over the whole Plane incident. Because if it isn't, I hate to see the day when the crowd isn't reacting to Beniot after a month of pushing and his push gets scaled back....of course that will be HHH's fault. Guest Report post Posted May 23, 2002 First of all, the "Its HHH's fault" shit is getting old. (Or am I the only one who thinks so? Probably) Secondly, to compare Bradshaw to Benoit is about 2 steps down from unholy sacrilege. Vince may not be the "genius" he is called, but he's not about the confuse an out-of-shape jackoff who is only over in one state with one of the 5 greatest of all time. (At least I hope so.) Guest FakeRazor Report post Posted May 23, 2002 JR must have turned over in his grave. If he was dead that is.
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted May 23, 2002 There are some differences. Benoit can at least captivate a crowd with wrestling, whereas Bradshaw simply cannot. I saw his match with UT on a house show recently and good lord it sucked. I mean it was the worst match I have ever seen in person. It was so bad I wanted a missed spot so the crowd could at least make fun or something. Bear in mind 2 days later they put the TITLE on one of the men involved in this atrocity. Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted May 23, 2002 Cabbageboy nailed it right on the head. Bradshaw sucks. His wrestling skills aree minimal and besides the occasional cheap pops, he has no heat. The push was ill-fated to begin with. Was anyone begging for Bradshaw to be pushed? If he disappeared tomorrow, would anyone care? No. He has no fan support and doesn't have the skills to garner any either.
Guest Report post Posted May 23, 2002 I thought his promos about Texas were quite good. Now if he only didn't do them in England..... PS: I actually think Bradshaw's mic skills suck horribly.
Guest the 1inch punch Report post Posted May 23, 2002 I think SK made a point aboot moving him away from the acolyte thing, but they didnt, so he stayed the sameIf they had repackaged him, would it have worked, no, if u put a scoop of ice cream on a pile of shit, its still shit
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted May 23, 2002 I think I am the only person who doesn't mind Bradshaw. His recent push was unearned but he does try hard in the ring and I like his promos too (as long as he doesn't get too upset during it). The one from Wrestlemania 17 was the best. Once the Corporate Ministry ended the Acolytes should have made an instant change into the bar brawling ass kickers that they were until the brand extension. They should have gotten some different tights to wear, stopped painting crap on the chests, and changed the name of the tag team.

Guest Report post Posted May 24, 2002 Dude, his promo from WM17 sucked. The premise, you ask?: "DUH! BIG UP TEXAS! WE'RE GONNA KICK SOME ASS! YEE-HAW! DUHHH!" Quite frankly, I could care less about Bradshaw. You'd have to be a pothead......never mind.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted May 24, 2002 Bradshaw failed because he was working with X-Pac on every main event, plus the Bradshaw promos were the worst ones on Raw.....Why would stare at the interviewer and not the camera? If the WWF was serious about Bradshaw's push then it should of focused more on being Austin's drinking buddy, than The Hoss from Texas.
Guest Special K Report post Posted May 24, 2002 If he wasn't injusred, Farooq is 10x better than Bradshaw, and tha's only in the same tag-team. farooq at least has some good stiff moves, a good look, and charisma, as well as some old-school support. When we look at overpushed people, you can usually say SOMETHING positive. For instance, I don't like Test. I'm not on a huge Test hate campaign, but I don't like him. HOWEVER: Test has a pretty good look, and a good elbow and big boot. That's not anything stellar, but it puts him leagues above Bradshaw, who a. Can't cut a promo b. Sucks in the ring c. Doesn't even have a good look. He looks like a tall Texan with stringy hair who's had a few too many beers. Fuck Bradshaw. I hate very few people as fervently. At least Mark Henry made an ass out of himself on TV, and still stuck with wrestling. I can say nothing positive about Bradshaw except he has a sub-pat lariot(o). Guest Report post Posted May 24, 2002 His promo during WrestleMania X7 was embarrassing to watch. Any promo that mentions anything involving rodeo (which I despise) is an automatic 0 in my opinion. Infact, that promo was almost as witty as a snippet of dialogue from a Dukes of Hazzard episode. The only thing missing was a long and generous... "Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaw"

He looks like a tall Canadian with stringy hair and bitch tits. Not flaming or anything, just saying.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted May 24, 2002 Test is just a poor man's Kevin Nash, less lazy but worse on the mic. I fail to see how that is at all good. Hell, at least Nash has some ***-****ish matches on his resume (granted they are with Bret and Shawn but they are still there) whereas Test's best match that I can think of was his match with Edge at Survivor Series that was in the **-*** range. Well put. Although I think his match with Shane was better than the one with Edge. I'll have to watch the Edge match again to confirm that, though.
Guest Ripper Report post Posted May 24, 2002 I'm not saying that Bradshaw needs to get pushed...I just find it disturbing that the WWF is pulling the plug on it because they didn't like the way it progressed over a month. And no, when it comes down to it, there won't be much of a difference in Beniot and Bradshaw if they continue with the "If he doesn't get over fast, he won't get over" thinking that the WWF seems to have. Since when does wrestling ability= big push. Look at the champ...hell, look at the champ before that. The point that I was making is that the WWF has a bad problem aborting pushs if they don't immediately get over huge. This is a bad sign, no matter how you cut it. It might be a guy you like today, but tomorrow it might be a talented guy that deserves it and there will be a thread about how the WWF is stupid.
Guest the 1inch punch Report post Posted May 25, 2002 HOWEVER: Test has a pretty good look, and a good elbow and big boot. , It's a really purty elbow Plus, although i didnt like it when i watched it for the first time in a year last night, he got an absolutley massive pop after finishing off Shane at Summerslam99 His problem is that when Shane is around, he gets pushed. Shane isnt around much Middle -Late99- Shane around, massive push, nearly gets World Title Early 2000, Shane not around, gets flung into shitty tag team with Albert Middle 2000, Shane around, gets pushed Middle 2001, Shane around, gets push, Shane disapeears, depushed, Shane reappears, gets pushed to the moon, getting the intercontinential and tag straps at one point. Now- Shane not around, no push I'd also like to point out that i think its positively scary that he has managed to get all but one heavyweight belt in his time here
