Guest Scott Christ Report post Posted February 24, 2002 NL Cy Young: Al Leiter That's a hell of a stretch when you consider he's in the same league as Randy Johnson, Curt Schilling, Greg Maddux, Matt Morris, Javier Vazquez (of course he's with the Expos, so unless he really breaks out this year, he might as well not exist), Jon Lieber, Tom Glavine, Darryl Kile, Russ Ortiz, Roy Oswalt, Josh Beckett, Kerry Wood and Kevin Brown, all of whom are better, as good, or could be better if they can avoid injuries/slumps. But it's also a fun pick.
Guest starvenger Report post Posted February 24, 2002 The Blue Jays will fall to fifth most popular team in Toronto, behind the Maple Leafs, Raptors, Rock and Argonauts, but stay ahead of the Arena Football team, whatever the hell they're called. And the phrase "rebuilding" will be used a lot in the local media.

Guest theWCWRaider Report post Posted February 27, 2002 AL East: Yankees Central: Twins West: Mariners Wildcard: Athletics NL East: Braves Central: Cardinals West: Diamondbacks Wildcard: Giants Other Prediction, If they try contraction again, it will be the K.C. Royals that they look at eliminating along with the Expos.
Guest Scott Christ Report post Posted March 1, 2002 The ownership of the Royals has no desire to sell their team, unless you think by then they would. But they don't. (And they won't.) And to contract them, MLB would have to buy the franchise and then eliminate it. But the Royals won't sell to MLB. Jeff Loria did and Carl Pohlad would have. That's how contraction works, it's not simply, "Let's eliminate bad teams."
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 1, 2002 I am a firm beleiver that MLB should do whatever it takes to contract the Florida Marlins...for buying the World Series and then not contending for the next 5 years. Then they should tell Arizona that they are being watched. Although the Marlins are getting better.
