Guest Downhome Report post Posted May 24, 2002 I don't know about you, but this is the only thing that comes into my mind when it comes to this feud. We all know that Hogan will eventually face Vince in a match somewhere down the line, but what we don't know is under what circumstances. Well, here is MY idea, and if I had my way, what I would do... ...we all know their history, including the incident in '93 and '94, on up to this past Sunday at Judgement Day, where Vince cost Hogan the Undisputed World Title. Then tonight on Smackdown, Vince stoped Hogan from retiring, stating that he can only retire on HIS terms, when HE wants him to retire. I mean come on, could there be a better way to further this feud? The WWE is in dire need of a new dirrection, and is in desperate need of something "new" to take place, just like they did way back in '96 or so. Back then, they took their product, and turned it upside down and continued to do so for quite a while. This, just like then, is what they need to do right NOW. If it was up to me, I'd have a match signed, which would be the set up to change the WWE for quite some time, and if you ask me, for the better. That match being... ...Vince Vs. Hogan in a RETIREMENT MATCH! Now, obviously it would do no good at all to have Vince win in this one, as the purpose of it would be to get VINCE off of TV. Yes, you heard me, this could be the begining of the end of the Vince McMahon era on WWE TV. We all know that his "era" is getting old, repetitive, and simply put, borring as hell, so what I propose is to have Hogan take out Vince, in this type of match. Fans have become so accustomed to having Vince on TV, and having him be removed from it would, if nothing else, change things up. From this point, we would then begin to build up the new guys, start a NEW era, and allow for the WWE to grow, shape up, and evolve once again. The point is simply, that Vince's time is over, and hell, it HAS been over for years now, he just needs to realize it and there would be no better way for it to end, by having Hulk Hogan pin Vince McMahon in the middle of the ring, in a retirment match. The fans would go crazy, it would actually mean something (if they stuck with it), and it could possibly be the set up for the NEXT era in the WWE, just like in 1996. Sincerely, ...Downhome... Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted May 24, 2002 No way would that ever work... remember Stephanie's "retirement" along with The Alliance after Survivor Series 2K1? It's a good idea in theory but like all good ideas in theory (communism, I'm looking at you) it'd never work. Vince's time may be long over, but Hogan's is even longer over. I'd say have a Hogan retirement match, but with an up-and-coming heel, someone mentioned Angle a while back in another thread. Have Hogan actually stay retired, and... somewhere in the middle of this I wake up.
Guest Report post Posted May 24, 2002 From this point, we would then begin to build up the new guys, start a NEW era, and allow for the WWE to grow, shape up, and evolve once again. Please. There will never be a NEW era, until Vince is (as he put it) "dead, laying in a pine box." Seriously. Even if they took Vince off of TV forever and gave us another figurehead like Shane... It's still Vince pulling the strings from behind the scenes. Nothing would change. It's all bullshit. It's a big cycle of bullshit. Vince has one end of the tube up his ass and the other end shoved down his throat. Now, how's THAT for a visual. *gag*
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 24, 2002 How many times now has Vince left tv and vowed never to return again. I hope Hogan doesn't stick around too much longer...nostalga (sp) is one thing...but he cannot perform at the WWF level...in WCW that was acceptable cause everyone else was at half speed...but he's looking like shit these days. Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted May 24, 2002 Why not have Vince and Flair vs Hogan and Austin in a Retirement Match. That would probably get big ratings, and well, be a good way to end this dueling evil owners sthick thats getting old really quickly.
