USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 Yes it was meant to be a jokey retort. Don't look too much into it. To be fair your rankings this week was much better than your last two.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 You know even if I was a diehard USC fan(and i don't hate them. i just hate their attitude) I'd be tired of ESPN's dick sucking by now. I've never seen ESPN so fully bend over for a team as they are right now. The Patriots don't even get this kind of love. And the thing that's really sad about it is that the minute USC loses ESPN will be all over them like they are with everyone else.

When was the last time that USC had a game on ESPN? I hear much more about Charlie Weis and Notre Dame than I hear about USC.

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 Can someone explain to me how Mississippi State is currently the favorite over LSU next week? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who has that line up? I don't know of any book that would post a line for next week on a team that hasn't played this week's game yet. They'd get killed.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2005 And speaking of LSU, wow. They look unstoppable right now. CFN might be right about them being the second best team in the nation. If they keep this up, I could see them running the table, and unlike Va. Tech, they could actually pass Texas in the polls with their schedule.

Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2005 I hate to say this as a fan of the maize and blue, but have any two teams been more exposed as frauds than Michigan and Tennessee? EDIT: and don't say Oklahoma because I don't think anyone was picking them as a national title contender this year, unlike these two. Pesonally, I expect Michigan to be this year's Auburn: a highly ranked team that suffers through a mediocre year, then puts together a huge season next year but has to climb their way up the polls because they are no longer getting the benefit of doubt from the preseason voters. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2005 and soon, Texas. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dude we know you hate Texas but they aren't as bad as you seem to be making them out to be. It's doubtful anyone in the Big XII can even beat them. I mean they went into Columbus and won....what more do you want? Do they have to beat the entire Top 10? USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2005 They are overrated. You don't see it yet because you're blinded by a stupid victory in Columbus over another overrated team. Just wait and see. I'll be proven correct. You shouldn't even be defending them. Not even if you're a sportswriter. You attend University of fucking OKLAHOMA. You should be hoping Texas goes winless the rest of the year. Now stop it.

LSU's schedule includes Florida, Alabama, and this game along with a strong opponent in the SEC title game if they get there, so they'll definitely have a chance to pass Texas in the polls if they keep winning impressively. As for Tennessee, I'm not suprised that they're flopping. It seems to me that anytime there's high expectations on Fulmer he has bad seasons. The seasons that not much is expected (1998 and 2004), he has great years. I think the Georgia, Alabama, and Notre Dame games could all possibly be troublesome for them. I think Texas is good this year and I don't think they are overrated. I think people are just putting them down because they're Texas and everyone pretty much hates them more than any other team in the country. Yeah it sucks that OU isn't at their best to play Texas when they're at their best and I will be rooting for OU to make it 6 straight. But in all rational thought I don't think it will happen and I don't see anyone on the schedule that can beat Texas. The Big XII is down this year and Texas is a lot better than they're being given credit for. I think at this point they could play with any team in the country. Just like VA Tech, LSU, Florida, and USC can play with any team in the country.

If they were an SEC team then people would be creaming their pants. I'll defend any team that isn't getting a fair shake. I don't care who they are.

How weird and stupid is that? Sorry Dama, but you've officially irked me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If anyone is irking people it is you. Texas has done absolutely nothing yet to indicate they are a fraud, and none of the creampuffs left on their schedule are going to provide much opposition either. If they are going to get exposed it's going to be in a bowl game, which puts them a far cry away from Michigan and Iowa at this point. Incidentally, I would like to apologise to Tennessee for slagging them earlier in this thread. And I'm very pleased to see another undefeated team go by the wayside. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2005 I'm pretty sure about this now. The team that faces USC in the Rose Bowl will be a one loss team. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I still doubt that VA Tech or Texas will lose this season. And I think VA Tech has the defense to shut down the vaunted Trojan offense. While I think Texas is really good and will probably continue to be at #2 if VA Tech plays like this all season then I actually can see them taking that #2 spot and honestly I think right now they have the best chance of knocking off USC. So it's been since 99 we've had an ACC national champ? Not too long. Which conference is on the biggest drought? It's the ACC isn't it? I mean 99 wasn't too long ago but every other conference seems to have grabbed a piece in that time.
