Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted May 24, 2002 For the past few weeks I've noticed a "Velocity" logo amongst the sea of WWE logos that begins each show. Now on Smackdown I see Tazz & Cole talking about a women's bra-and-panties match on this show, that debuts on Saturday. My question is, what is this show? Another Metal-type "second rate" show, or an Excess with matches?
Guest Report post Posted May 24, 2002 It is a new show that is replacing Jakked/Metal, but this will be on TNN instead. They are going to ruin it by putting women matches on it though. When nobody could see the show, because it was in syndication they put on top notch matches. Now that people can see it, they are starting to put crap on judging by the spoilers. Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted May 24, 2002 RAW has Heat as their "2nd" show, Smackdown had Jakked/Metal but most areas didn't carry it or it was on at bad hours, so they've ditched excess, and made the 10-11 hour Velocity (The Smackdown "B" show) and the 11-12 hour will be another new show called "Confidential" which will be hosted by MEAN GENE OKERLUND! and will be like a "behind the music" kinda show geared towards net fans. I think this Saturday is a "shoot" (how legitimate we dont know yet) interview with Shawn Michaels focusing mostly on Montreal. And, if ya miss Excess, it's basically going into syindication where Jakked and Metal used to be. 1 show is called "AfterBurn" and the other is "Bottom Line" one will be a recap of RAW, the other recaps Smackdown, and like I said they'll be in syndication like Jakked and Metal. Phewww....I feel like I work for the WWE's advertising department or something
Guest EQ Report post Posted May 24, 2002 I'm glad they're doing this... Excess sucked bad, even if the matches aren't that great, they have to be better than excess.
Guest franchise632 Report post Posted May 24, 2002 Excess which was a two hour block on TNN recapping both shows. This is now being changed, the first hour will be a show called Velocity which is a SD crew show, the second hour will be a show called Confidental hosted by Mean Gene Okerland. The first guest will be HBK Shawn Micheals who is supposedly going to talk candidly about his career including the Montreal Screw Job.
