Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2005 I'm sure we've all been in this type of situation where you wish you can be at two different places at once. That problem just arose for me. My friend bugged me for months to go to the 10/1 Ring Of Honor wrestling show with him and I finally caved since I like ROH and haven't seen them live in awhile. But that night, my other friend's band is performing in a pub. His band is really good and I really wanna go and support them and he also promised the owner that he's get a good showing of fans there. As of right now, I'm going to the ROH show because I promised my friend first that I would and he already ordered the tickets and he really wants to go so I'm not gonna bail on him. Some of my other friends who were supposed to go with us bailed already to see the band. On the other hand though, I feel like I'm letting my band friend down for not supporting them. If it was any other day I would definatley go and I'll never hear the end of the jokes my friends will give me for blowing off my friend for a fucking WRESTLING SHOW. Sigh. What would you do? Guest xSarahx Report post Posted September 22, 2005 I don't think I could ever turn down the chance to see Kobashi. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agreed. You can make it up to your band friend, just go to their next gig. But when are you going to get a chance to see Kobashi wrestle? It's tough to turn down a friend but I would definately go to the ROH show.

If people's feelings get hurt in the long run, tell the second friend that the ROH friend asked you first - it's the reason I'd give. In regards to this thread, it looks like Wrestlemania 22 will fall in line with my family (and extended family's) vacation in California. That is, unless, the recognized 2006 Spring Break doesn't end on the same weekend as Mania, whereas then I'm safe and able to go on both trips. They better not make me choose. Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2005 I'm torn between seeing the last time my buddy Crawford's band Inheritance, probably the best local death metal band ever, will be playing a show (as they've split up, but agreed to do one last show) on October 8th and going to see Zombie Apocalypse and Gwar at the Rock and Shock Festival on the same day. I think I'm going with the latter, seeing as how I've seen Inheritance a bunch of times, only seen ZA once, and never seen Gwar.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted September 22, 2005 You've never seen GWAR? oh shit. Probably the best time someone like you will ever have at a concert.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2005 I'm more excited to see Zombie Apocalypse again, actually. They were insane live, and with the new EP out they'll have about 5 more minutes onstage (their liveset was about 20 minutes last year, and since their album is only 11 minutes long, there was a lot of filler for an intro, and then I believe a cover of something). Looking forward to fighting my way to the front and trying to get to scream into the mic.
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted September 24, 2005 If it's the last show that your friend's band will play, that should take precedence over two bands, One of which you've already seen and another that tours constantly. You'll always get to see Zombie and GWAR again. Inheritance is gone after that night.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2005 But I've seen them way too many times, even back when they were using a few different names. I'm wondering when they're playing, because if they're playing around, say, 4 in the afternoon, I can see them and bang over to Worcester to see ZA and GWAR.
