Mole 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2005 So my iPod won't connect to my computer. I tried my friends computer, he has a Mac and it won't connect. Lets just say the cords work because I think they do. Is there anything on the iPod itself I need to put on for it to work? Thanks in advance.

Mole 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2005 When I plug it into the computer, it's charging, so I don't know what is wrong with it.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2005 The same thing happened with my computer when switching between computers. Go to the iPod Updater executable on your computer, and click "update". The problem is usually because of the host computer having a version of iTunes or iPod software that has been changed since the last time the iPod was used on that host. If this doesn't work, try downloading the newest iPod updater from the Apple website, then updating everything again. If that doesn't work, refer to the iPod support page on connecting to a PC or MAC. More specifically, this page.
