Guest areacode212 Report post Posted May 24, 2002 If you have an extra couple of bucks in your pocket, I highly recommend the new Vertigo title Fables (it came out on 5/8). In a nutshell, the concept is that the characters from fairy tales (Prince Charming, Snow White, Beauty & the Beast, etc) all live among the "mundane people" in the modern world, only they try to keep their "magical nature" a secret. Snow White is now the Director of what seems to be "Fable Headquarters" in NYC, and Prince Charming (her ex) is a womanizer who hits on waitresses. The first issue was pretty amusing, and the art is pretty nice & detailed...it reminds me of Phil Jimenez's art. I hope this'll end up being one of the new Vertigo flagship titles, along with 100 Bullets and Lucifer, and won't get cancelled after 6 issues. So, help it along, and pick up a copy!
