New Impact Taping Schedule?

I saw this in Larry Csonka's column on 411wrestling.com:

 

There are already rumblings that SPIKE may have TNA move their tapings to Monday night, have them tape at 7pm and air them at 11pm Monday nights on tape delay and run UFC programming from 9-11, as well as TNA specials when the WWE is preempted to test the waters.

 

I don't know how credible this is, but I thought it'd be interesting to discuss. That'd be a great step up for TNA to be able to have the first run episode air on "wrestling night" and having it taped and air in the same day is a good way to avoid the spoiler effect without having to go live just yet (at least during the taping week). And having them run in a big "Clash of the Champions" type special on the days RAW is pre-empted for tennis and the dog show would be great, because people looking for wrestling might stumble across it. Thoughts?

Meltzer and Tenay said a week ago that TNA and Spike are planning on having Saturday Night being the first-run show for the foreseeable future. This was after someone calling in on the show and asking about Monday night being the first run show. I think that's just a newsz board guy making stuff up.

 

Obviously, if the Midnight Replay does a bigger number than the first-run show consistantly, that could change things.

 

Spike's on crack if they don't run a TNA special one of the weeks Raw is preempted if Impact does decent numbers (which they will).

Probably just because they arent as confident in TNA's ability to draw completely quite yet. If they pull in good numbers for the first few weeks of Impact, things could drastically change.
