Guest godthedog Report post Posted May 25, 2002 trips bumped like a 250+ pound shawn michaels for jericho, and sold like a champion for him. there was nothing in the match itself that killed jericho's credibility. the smackdown promos killed his credibility. trips did the standard post-cell promo, putting himself and the match over ("hell in a cell is the most brutal match ever devised, but i survived it, i am the game, blah blah blah") and it was fine. that's what you're supposed to do when you win a match like that. but jericho didn't get to put himself over at all in his promo. he just got to bitch that he had his ass handed to him. what the fuck??? this has got to be the first time in history a wrestler has admitted to being inept in his own promo. you never EVER say anything like, "wow, i suck." this is basically what jericho said, and it's by far the thing that's pissed me off the most in the last few weeks.
