The ending WAS good, but unlike The Sixth Sense, where the shock ending turned a decent movie into a great one, The Others was a better movie that had a good ending anyway. Guest ArkhamGlobe Report post Posted May 25, 2002 I thought the film was excellent, one of last years best, with the most mindblowingly AWESOME cinematography I've seen in a long time (why the hell was this film not oscarnominated for best cinematography?). I even thought Nicole Kidman was good in it, which is really something out of the ordinary for me, though the supporting players were even better. But it actually made me appreciate it more because the hints they drop are so incredible subtle, yet they make so much sense. I didn't see the ending coming (just like Sixth sense!) and i thought it was pulled off really neatly, it deserved the good notices it got on its release.
