Guest papacita Report post Posted May 25, 2002 Right out of the top of my head I wanna say Survivor Series 99. With the exception of Chyna/Jericho and the Hardyz/E & C Tag Match, that PPV sucked. Others that come to mind are the 1st IYH (liked it when I was 11, but it's boring as hell now), No Way Out 2002, KOTR 2000 (worst booking ever) and Degeneration X in 97. Oh well...what about the rest of you?
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted May 25, 2002 Off the top of my head is Royal Rumble'94. Ten men having to put the Taker in a casket only to see him give a sililoquy and then have Marty Jannetty fly out of the casket posing as the Taker. Kind of creeps you out. Especially if you go back and watch Beyond the Mat and Vince looks into the camera at one point and goes "We make movies".
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted May 25, 2002 Worst WWF PPV Ever is King of the Ring 1995. You claim that KOTR 2000 had the worst booking ever? KOTR 1995 had a tournament that featured Shawn Michaels, Undertaker and Yokozuna, and have them all job in the first round to Kama (a draw, but come on, its Papa Shango for crying out loud), Mabel, and Savio respectively. Worst PPV ever is either Great American Bash 1991 or Heroes of Wrestling. The wrestling is slightly better at Great American Bash, but it is far more frustrating so I am tempted to give it the nod. Guest wolverine Report post Posted May 25, 2002 Worst PPV I've seen would have to go to ECW Wrestlepalooza '98. I'm sure there's worse ones out there, but this brought the suck BIG TIME. Every match was bad, a complete waste of time.
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted May 25, 2002 I haven't seen the ECW show that sucked so bad, but I'd think it would have enough mayhem and violence to at least rise above GAB 91 or Heroes. Rumble 94 isn't a bad show at all, just the goofy Taker angle is what people recall. There at least was an interesting Harts/Quebecers tag match where Owen finally turned. I would have to agree with KOTR 95. I haven't seen that show either but I remember the time period and the match results to know that it is the worst shit ever. But really there are very few WWF shows that have utterly no redeeming value. Some of the 1999 PPVs were forgettable but usually had a major angle or something take place. I've seen some WCW shows that were just horrid. I can forgive GAB 91 since Flair was fired.....what are their excuses for Fall Brawl 98? Or any show between Slamboree 99 and Havoc 99? I can forgive the Souled Out show where Bret and Jarrett were injured. I cannot forgive Superbrawl 2000 and Uncensored 2000. I gotta go with Fall Brawl 98 though. That show sucked big time. There was only one match that was even decent at all (Raven/Saturn).
Guest TheMikeSC Report post Posted May 26, 2002 <<<I haven't seen the ECW show that sucked so bad, but I'd think it would have enough mayhem and violence to at least rise above GAB 91 or Heroes.>>> Living Dangerously '98 didn't fear sucking the meat missile with some serious gusto. A horrid card with terrible matches and no point. Although, to be honest, ECW was the KING of mediocrity in PPV. None of their shows were amazingly good. They didn't have a single show in the same caliber as, say, Backlash 2000; or GAB '89; or WrestleMania X-7. Nothing ECW ever did came within a mile of that. <<<Rumble 94 isn't a bad show at all, just the goofy Taker angle is what people recall. There at least was an interesting Harts/Quebecers tag match where Owen finally turned. >>> Yeah, it wasn't that bad. The ME was God awful, but the tag title match was actually quite good and the Rumble, while not one of the better ones, was an entertaining enough diversion. <<<I would have to agree with KOTR 95. I haven't seen that show either but I remember the time period and the match results to know that it is the worst shit ever. But really there are very few WWF shows that have utterly no redeeming value. Some of the 1999 PPVs were forgettable but usually had a major angle or something take place. >>> Oh, KOTR 1995 has to be the worst wrestling PPV the WWE ever put out. The worst PPV PERIOD would be the "No Holds Barred: The Match/The Movie" PPV special in 1989. Actually, the '89 Survivor Series pretty well sucked hard. <<<I've seen some WCW shows that were just horrid. I can forgive GAB 91 since Flair was fired.....what are their excuses for Fall Brawl 98?>>> I actually didn't think FB '98 was THAT bad. I thought Juvy v Silver King was fun and Raven v Saturn was quite good, IMO. The rest of the show was a piddling mess, but WCW has had FAR worse shows than that. <<<Or any show between Slamboree 99 and Havoc 99? I can forgive the Souled Out show where Bret and Jarrett were injured.>>> I can't forgive that one because they didn't have a lot of good matches lined up before the injuries. Bret v Sid would've stunk (Hart couldn't carry ANYBODY at that point) and JJ v Benoit would have been the usual slightly-above-average performance that JJ is so noted for. <<<I cannot forgive Superbrawl 2000 and Uncensored 2000. >>> They were awfully bad---but I honestly thought Spring Stampede 2000 was worse than SB 2000. <<<I gotta go with Fall Brawl 98 though. That show sucked big time. There was only one match that was even decent at all (Raven/Saturn). >>> Oh, let's go down the top 10 worst WCW PPV's ever: 1) GAB '91 2) Bunkhouse Stampede Finals '88 (the audience in the arena chanted "REFUND" loudly when Dusty won the ME) 3) BattleBowl 1993 4) The 1st Uncensored Show (1995, I believe) 5) Starrcade 1994 6) Spring Stampede 2000 (hectic-paced booking did not approach quality on that show) 7) GAB 2K 8) SB 2K 9) Uncensored 2000 10) Starrcade 1997 (the beginning of the end for WCW) -=Mike
Guest Rob Van Dam Report post Posted May 27, 2002 ECW Wrestlepalooza 98 kicked ass with a classic rvd/sabu match, taz punking out douglas, douglas vs snow in the main event which was awesome, the dudleys vs dreamer and sandman etc..... The most disapointing ppv for me at the time of ordering it was definateld WCW Fall Brawl 1998, the war games match was simple horrible, what the fuck was stevie ray doing in that match with 8 legends. Also what's the point of having the world title on goldberg when he didn't even have a match or appearance on the card. Worst WWF ppv of all time I would say either King of the Ring 1995 or No Way Out 1998
Guest papacita Report post Posted May 27, 2002 Wrestlepalooza was the 1st ECW PPV carried by my cable company...and I was just so disappointed when I saw it. As great as Styles sold the RVD/Sabu match as being, IMO, that's one of the worst matches I've ever seen. It was boring and overrated. The rest of the PPV was weak, IMO. As for KOTR, I liked it because I attended it live (1st WWF PPV), but looking back yeah that thing was horrible. The fact that Diesel, Bam Bam, Sid and Tatanka were the main event pretty much guarantees a bad PPV. And then Mo's bullshit acceptance speech...
Guest Report post Posted May 27, 2002 New Blood Rising Worst. Pay Per View. Ever. Besides the Jung Dragons/3 Count match, there was nothing really good...at all

Am I the only one who realizes that Mo may be illiterate? It took him three minutes to say something that would have taken 15 seconds to say. The best part of that PPV is when Mabel got buried alive in garbage during his crowning.
Guest Report post Posted May 27, 2002 Worst WWF is KOTR '95, period. But THE worst is the Heroes of Wrestling PPV....for a PPV, anyway. It's absolutley hilarious when you are watching it with friends. Jake the Snake "ruins" the show by "ruining" the main event, which would have been Yoko vs. Bundy.......FUCK YOU JAKE! I WANTED TO SEE THAT MATCH! BUT HoW takes thae cake for me.

The rest of the PPV was weak, IMO. Basically that was the match that convinced me that those two guys suck and couldn't work a match if their careers depended on it. Suffice to say I never bought another ECW PPV. -1/4*
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted May 28, 2002 "As great as Styles sold the RVD/Sabu match as being, IMO, that's one of the worst matches I've ever seen." Is that the match where Sabu was puking off the side of the ring?
Guest Patorick Report post Posted May 28, 2002 KotR '99 sucked big-time. Billy Bitchcakes winning the crown. X-Pac wrestling three matches with a neck injury. Shamrock "internally bleeding". Who raised the briefcase??? It may not be the worst PPV ever, but it's definitly the worst I've ever seen & I've been watching the WWA "PPVs".
