(observer) goldberg talks/nash plans

A couple of notes from the Observer this week.

Meltzer says that there were talks of having HITC be the main event at JD because they felt it would steal the show. But they decided against it because of what happened at Mania. (How much do you want to bet that they still don't understand why no one gave a rat's ass about the title match at Mania? They just did the same thing at JD so I am guessing they don't.)

The WWE is trying to set up a meeting between Goldberg and Vince. Goldberg was invited to a tv taping, but turned it down. He wants Vince to come to him instead and is expecting to receive a much bigger offer than he would have in the past.

The only news on the NWO situation that hasn't already been reported was that the original plan was for X-Pac to do two jobs that night. The second match was supposed to be X-Pac/Show v. Booker/Goldust. Nash and X-Pac then threw their temper tantrum. Nash was also mad that he didn't find out until he was at the airport last week that they weren't going to need him for RAW.

Nash also expects to be turned face when he comes back. (More Nash/Show and Nash/Undertaker/Matches!)

Rock has agreed to wrestle at the Melbourne Show in August and a house show in Hawaii in June. Meltzer says he will most likely be working with Chris Jericho on both shows. When Rock was in Japan, the press was told to only ask questions about the movie because he would not be answering any questions about wrestling.

The deal with Scott Steiner is that Vince does not want to sign anyone for less than 2 years and they feel any deal longer than a couple months would be a waste due to Steiner's medical problems.

That's just sad.  I personally think the Rock isn't a good actor, whereas he can be a good wrestler.  It's only a matter of time before he either stops acting or gets fired by the WWE only to have his Hollywood career go down the drain.

Screw that prima donna Goldberg. The last thing WWE needs right now is another huge ego who wants to be at the top and will throw fits if he's not. 10 - 1 says he would get injured within his first month anyway.

Rock would have to do something so outrageously horrible to ever get fired by Vince.  He's too much of a draw & money-maker for Vince to just fire him w/out a damn good reason.
