Guest TheJuice31 Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 While hearing lots about it, I've never actually watched any Puroresu. I'm just curious as to what sets it aside from North American wrestling in general.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 For the most part the emphasis is on the in-ring action with the non-wrestling nonsense typically reduced to the background. The action is usually more athletic, and the matches are on the whole a lot more physical than American wrestling. In the major groups the rookies are a lot more crisp and fluid than their American counterparts, and you usually won’t see a guy brought up to the main roster unless he has a firm grasp of the fundamentals, which makes for better workers in the long run.
