iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2005 Not too much happening this week with no one losing in the Top 14, and outside of NW, no one picking up a really big win. CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2005 Good rankings this week, I think. I might not have completely dropped Michigan State, but then, I don't understand the Big 10 at all. Flipping Alabama and Georgia is strong. I wish we'd see moves like that in the real polls.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2005 I think I'd put UCLA a bit higher on the list since they are undefeated thus far. With Stanford, Zona, and ASU up they very well could be 10-0 going into the USC game. Incidentally what's up with Stanford? Ever since that UC Davis debacle they've been playing quite well in the Pac 10. Speaks volumes about the Pac 10 really.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2005 Well, UCLA is 0-0 against teams currently ranked in my Top 25, so I'm not too anxious to jack their ranking to the skies just yet. Combine that with the fact that they were a couple late TDs away from giving the two Washington schools their only Pac Ten wins, and I think that #10 suits them just fine. I don't doubt they'll be 10-0 when they play USC, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're better than LSU or Ohio State right now.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2005 Miami and UCLA are incredibly in the top ten without anyone really knowing much about them. I mean, they're probably that good, but still. Miami even moreso than UCLA. And now they might have games postponed for a while due to the storm! I'd put Tennessee at #25, just to show how they're a kickass performance against South Carolina and a shocker against Notre Dame (on the road? No problem!) away from being a happy medium in the #14-17 range for the rest of the season, possibly rising to #10-12 with a solid bowl win by the end of the year. A loss to Notre Dame has the biggest chance of going down, so I see a 7-4 season heading into the Peach Bowl or something.
