Guest Report post Posted May 26, 2002 Well me I liked Confidential a little bit better. If cruiserweight matches like the one on Velocity continue, I may change my mind but I doubt it. Come on Velocity advertised Trish/Stacy bra and panties match which lasted a minute or two at the most,as the main fn event like it was match of the year. I enjoyed the Shawn Michaels stuff, especially the Montreal segment, and the look through Trish's house was good and all, but they focused way too much on Lita's surgery, especialy when most of us knew everything we really wanted to about it. This show is essentially filled with WWF Superstars exclusives from once they stopped showing wrestling matches in 97 or so, and I can't see it holding my interest. I went in watching it, thinking I wouldn't learn anything new about the Montreal screwjob, and low and behold, Shawn finally admitted to being "in on it." Sure I think we all pretty much figured he was, but it was cool actually hearing about it. Yeah it was one sided, but we've heard Bret's story before so I can forgive the WWE for it. Confidential on the other hand, is a show that all smarks have been asking for for many years now. I mean, hearing the name "Hickenbottom" on a WWF tv show? It's almost fucking ground-breaking. After reading a recent WWE.com article on Lita's surgery, I become more intrigued with the whole thing, thus I found her segment very captivating. Of course, if they showed Benoit's surgery I'm sure a few of you guys would have appreciated it a bit more. The Trish stuff I found a bit stupid. All I learned from that is that she's really fucking rich and she's married. Replace all that shit with a longer Vault segment and I won't be flipping through MadTV/SNL anymore on Saturday nights. Velocity has a bit of an advantage just because i love Michael Cole's commentary... *Tajiri kicks Kidman 3 straight times in the arm* Michael Cole: Oh my God! Right to the temple! And again! I am a mark for when wrestling gets 'real' (even if it's Mcmahonized) and Gene SO put down EVERY commentator on the Wwf roster. He made them all look like amateurs. Great pacing, it seems like he never lost a step. Did anyone else mark out for the 'MR BABA' ref. and the foreign footage of RVD? CAUSE I DID! WHOOOO HOOOO! Trish Stratus went from the woman I wanted to just fuck, to the woman I wanted to marry. I mean, after a good 5 years of non-stop screwing I would more likely than not get sick of it, so we would need something else to further us along. HER HOUSE RULES! I am *THIS* close to finding that house because it's in Ontario and thats close enough for me. She likes gaming. She likes wrestling. She has a hot tub and some swank furnature. She has a bar with A LOT of drinks and in her fridge... Is some Molson Canadian... She IS the perfect woman. I don't usually oogle the ladies on the webboards, but dammit, oogle oogle oogle... My one and only peeve, and its not really a peeve as it is a suggestion of sorts. They never really discussed the how Survivor Series 97 effected wrestling. I mean here is one of the single most recognized and influencial matches in wrestling history who's outcome shocked the wrestling world, they should have said that... RVD's thing was pretty cool, I had always wondered who designed his tights. When he said "Mr. Baba", I thought that was just such a sign of respect. Seeing some indy, Japan & ECW footage was really cool to. I can't wait til they do a profile on a former WCW wrestler and get to use their video library. The HBK thing came across as very surreal because he actually said "Hickenbottom" and for the first time actually admitted that he was in on it. Very cool show so far. Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted May 26, 2002 I am going with Confidential all the fucking way man. First off, HBK admitting for the first time publicly that he was in on the screwjob. It's not anything shocking for us smarks, but the admission made the whole look back worth it. If it didn't have it, the segment would've looked like just about any old look back at something controversial. Second, Trish is a GODDESS!!!!!!! And her pad fucking rules it!! As stated earlier by some of you, she is one you FUCKING MARRY!!! The Lita segment was kind of your average superstar going into surgery bit, except they heightened it with the actual surgery footage. Gotta love being on after 10:00 pm, huh? Ivory talking openly about her implants was also a breath of fresh air and originality. Instead of going with the typical "girl power" type of segment where we could've just seen Ivory put herself over as a woman who can actually go in the ring and be beautiful outside of it, we got Ivory candidly talking about a subject that is very hush hush in the entertainment industry as a whole. Hope WWE can keep up the good work here. As long as they recognize that it is probrably the smark/internet community that is watching this show, hopefully they will cater to us.
