Guest TheDames7 Posted May 26, 2002 Report Posted May 26, 2002 Many years ago, the Nets signed Yinka Dare and I remember that he had a pretty big contract and shoe endorsements. What happened to that guy? I'm asking cuz I was watching ESPN and one of the guys made a joke and I completely forgot about Dare. Dames
Guest El Satanico Posted May 26, 2002 Report Posted May 26, 2002 Yeah I remember him. I also remember watching several of his college games.
Guest Posted May 26, 2002 Report Posted May 26, 2002 word, he played for like george washington or something like that in cdollege. He blew, infact it's a good thing he is brought up because I think Yao ming plays like him. The nets got rid of him after 2 or 3 seasons cause his numbers were something like .7 ppg .2 apg and like 1 rpg. --Rob
Guest Posted May 26, 2002 Report Posted May 26, 2002 Yinka Dare was cut from an NBDL team earlier this year, basically he had a big ego (fuck if I know why...), and expected special treatment from the team.
Guest ant_7000 Posted May 26, 2002 Report Posted May 26, 2002 I remember him, he was a decent player at GW, and I think Desanga Diop will be the next Yinka Dare. Yao's game is wat better than Dare's.
Guest Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 any, how can you you say yao's game is better than his, have you seen him play a game? have you seen secret footage that the rest of us have not?? I saw him play against dream team 3 and he was garbage, thats why I think he "could" end up like yinka dare. --Rob
Guest Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 Awww Yinka. I remember him quite clearly, namely because Dan Patrick almost had a heart attack on Sportscenter when he got his first career assist...after 2 years in the league.

(which Dare can't do) and I have seen highlights of him in the 2000 Oylmpics when he block Mourning's shot. I don't how he'll turn out in the League but its safe to say he's better than Yinka Dare who's been cut from NBDL.
Guest alfdogg Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 I remember Yinka. He went two whole years with one assist. He had a shoe endorsement?
