the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 The draft depends on Trent Cole. If Cole turns out to be a player, they can go with any of DT, LB, CB, WR, or OL with their first pick. If Cole turns out to be nothing, they have to get a Dumervil level pass rusher first. The lack of pass rush is absolutely killing the defense.
MrRant 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 Why Tampa? I know Vick struggles at times with them but I'd hardly say the Bucs are a juggernaut this year to be avoided like the plague. It's odd though, since Vick seems to have the Panthers' number. And by the way, what is all this talk about the Panthers? Yes, they squashed a horrid Jets team and punked Chris Simms out of late, but is any of that all that difficult to do? This team did just barely beat Detroit by 1, Arizona by 4, and Green Bay by 3. Hardly a dynasty in the making, or even a remotely surefire Super Bowl team. I think the Cowboys might be the best in the NFC right now. They've lost 3 games but all 3 were games they should have won. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you are going by that theory, then Seattle would be since they should have beaten Washington and would have been at 8-1 outside of the loss to the Jags. I have no confidence in Atlanta since I don't see consistency and if Vick is hurt enough to affect his mobility, they are fucked.

The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 The Bears should have won all their games and been 9-0, therefore they are the best team. You can do this for anyone, it's pointless

And saying the Cowboys are the best because they lost three games they should have won is idiotic, because the Panthers' only two losses were by a combined six points. Any team that can blow a 13 point lead in the final minutes of a game shouldn't be considered one of the best teams in the NFL. And that Green Bay team the Panthers defeated by three was a whole lot better than the Green Bay team that defeated the Falcons this past week.
mike546 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2005 Its like saying the Giants should be 8-1, they should have beat the Vikings, and if they won the coin toss vs Dallas.

Nonexistant for most of the season was a running game and inconsistent play from the offensive line. The Packers that went into Atlanta and beat the Falcons are playing much better than the ones who barely lost to the Panthers.
