Hey, my new Lamborghini isn't going to pay for itself, you know. But seriously, we went from a system with tons of obnoxious pop-up ads (despite the fact that Bower paid for us to be ad-free until March) to a system with no ads. What's the problem? If you're not getting your daily quota of pop-ups and pop-unders disrupting your web browsing experience and sucking up your computer's available resources, I'm sure someone here can recommend a couple of porn sites that'll have you clicking the "Close" button until 2am tonight. Guest HDahlmear Report post Posted February 3, 2002 What pop up ads? I never saw any on the old board. No pop-ups, pop-unders, and I've been using plain ol' IE5.5 without any pop-up killers. And so what if there were? Just close the windows as they're created, it's not that difficult. Why not use PHP Boards? Who's idea was this? Jeremy's. He was more interested in finding a board which had both an intuitive user interface and a powerful admin interface. It was between this and UBB, if I recall correctly, and this won out. From an administrative point of view, this is a lot easier to navigate than EZboard, though in my opinion nothing will match the simplicity of Delphi. AND DON YOU DON'T HAVE TO ACT SARCASTIC ALL THE TIME. Well, so much for the "shouting filter"... Seriously, though, I try to only be sarcastic when responding to sarcasm (ie: "Was it because Don felt he didn't want those ads that were 'not paid' to appear on his site?", which is just a silly accusation since haven't had ads on the main page since our ad provider went under.)
