Guest Report post Posted May 27, 2002 Man I am just getting soo sick and tired of this crap. Come on VINCE! THINK!! Hiring Goldberg?! NO! He wont get the ratings back up for more than a week if that. I for one am tired of this ship. The ratings drop, Hulkamania returns, The ratings drop, the roster splits, the ratings drop, and continue to drop. Face it Vince you are actually going to have to come up with new and original angles!!! The hole has been dug and Goldberg will not be the answer. The fantasy match between goldberg/austin is not worth the risk of screwing the company more. Id rather still dream about the match than actually have it attempted and be ANOTHER failure. I wish I could still dream of the WCW/WWE and ECW/WWE InVasion fantasy fued I use to in 99-00 but I cant cause it has been done and done horridly. The nWo InVasion, another dream, another nightmare. The goldberg era is over dont try to recreate that too. Stick with austin/eddie g, continue to give stars like eddie a shove and maybe incorporate the age old thing called WRESTLING! Trying to connect with the one big shocking angle or shocking wrestler debut that will drive the ratings up 3 points and keep them there. Unfortunately he has completely forgotten the benefits of long-term booking.. You are right. The ratings will go up for 1 or 2 weeks and then right back down. I mean, why would Austin, a guy who is having neck problems as it is, want to work with Golberg? I mean, it's a step-up from Scott Hall, but still... Anyway, I say the Brock Lesnar experiment should be the closest they go to attempting a re-creation of the Golberg phenominon. They will rise then plumet just like with the NWO, just like with Hulkamania just like with the roster split. they want ratings use GOOD people and I don't mean Triple H or Undertaker the 2 men so fucking over they refuse to job. I mean people like RVD, Guerro (which I noticed they are so kudos to the WWE) D-Lo, Spike, Booker T give these low/mid card people a chance.
