Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted May 27, 2002 Meet the Marks Are you tired of the same ol' predictable sitcoms year after year? Do you love your comedies, but still feel like you need something new? Well, then imagine a cast made up of improvisational actors whose set is a real house in a real neighborhood, completely rigged with hidden cameras. Welcome to MEET THE MARKS, a true hybrid of a scripted sitcom melded with the reality genre. Consisting of two different stories per half-hour, fully scripted storylines will call for someone from the outside world ("the Mark") to walk into the show and become the guest star without knowing that he or she is a part of a television episode. It will have the look and feel of a sitcom, but will also have the added element of potential surprise -- since we will never fully be sure how our "mark" will react! MEET THE MARKS is from Emmy Award-winning producer Vin Di Bona. Along with Di Bona, Jeff Eastin writes and co-executive produces. Eastin recently wrapped up duties co-writing the sequel for James Cameron's latest movie, "True Lies 2." Production Company: Vin Di Bona Productions; Executive Producer: Vin Di Bona; Co-Executive Producer/Writer: Jeff Eastin. I just figured the name was sort of funny, even though I know that the word Mark has several different meanings and stuff. Its funny that it would get put up against Smackdown in the 8:30 Thursday slot.
