Vince stands in the ring, welcomes us, intros Little Richard who sings America the Beautiful and brings back the King. Live from MSG. Your hosts are Vince and King The storyline for the whole main event, bret v. owen match is- On July 4th, Lex Luger turned face and slammed Yokozuna thus earning a shot at Summerslam which would be his one and only shot. He won by countout cause he’s a dumbass. During this time Bret was in a heated feud with King over King being a prick. At Survivor Series it was supposed to be Hart Brothers v. King and his knights but King raped a fourteen girl (so she said) and HBK got inserted instead. The Harts kicked ass but Owen was accidentally whipped into Bret and pinned making him the only Hart eliminated. He was pissed and challenged Bret to a match but was denied. Over Xmas they made up and agreed to take on the Quebecers at the RR for the tag belts. Royal Rumble- Much to Cornette’s protests Lex was entered into the Royal Rumble. During the Bret/Owen v. Quebecers match Bret hurt his knee. He had the chance to tag Owen but instead applied the Sharpshooter. Sadly his knee gave out and the ref stopped the match. An irate Owen kicked Bret in the knee and turned heel. During the actual match despite being attacked by Tenyru and Kabuki- Luger made it. Despite the Owen thing Bret made it also. They ended up being co-winners of the RR when they eliminated each other. So what to do?? On RAW they had a cointoss. If Lex won, he would face Yoko first and then face Bret. Bret would take on Owen earlier in the night. If Bret wins, he takes on Yoko and then faces Lex. Lex would take on Crush. Lex won and here we go- Bret “Hitman” Hart v. “The Rocket” Owen Hart Lockup, Owen celebrates. Lockup- Owen takes him down, Bret gets scissors. Owen is pissed. Go-behind takedown by Bret and he takes him down- Owen makes ropes. Lockup- Owen takes Bret down. Bret sends Owen flying. Back in- Owen slaps him and Bret gets pissed. Lockup- Owen gets hammerlock, Bret reverses, Owen breaks and gets headlock, Bret reverses to hammerlock and works on arm. Owen breaks and gets hammerlock and yanks his air while working on arm. Bret kips up and now works on the arm. Bret gets rollup for two. Bret gets armdrag takedown and Owen yanks hair. ‘Let’s Go Bret’. Bret works on arm and gets hammerlock. Owen elbows him. Criss-cross sequence leads to Bret monkeyflip and Owen gets clotheslined out. Owen bails- Bret brinhs him back. Shoving match and Bret slaps hi. Rollup-2 and Bret works on arm. Crucificx-2. Bret goes back to the arm. Owen spinkicks Bret and poses. Owen stomps away and Bret falls out. Brawl on the otuside- Bret eats post. Back in- Owen kicks his ass. Bret breaks submission hold but eats belly to belly for two. Crossbody by Owen- Bret rolls through-2. Owen works Bret over. Bret blocks slam and falls on him for two. Bret bails so Owen celebrates. German suplex by Owen-2. Legdrop on neck-2. Headbutt by Owen but Bret gets small package for two. Owen uppercuts him and gets wicked tombstone piledriver. Owen goes up top but misses splash. Bret gets inverted atomic drop and clothesline-2. Russian legsweep-2. Backbreaker, second rope elbow-2. Enziguri by Owen but Bret punches him to block Sharpshooter. Bret goes for one but Owen blocks him. Owen rolls Bret up for two and bails. Bret dives out after him but injures his knee. Owen goes right for the knee and injures it more. He rams it into the turnbuckle- THRICE! Back in- he works on the knee more and even busts out a dragon screw legwhip and hooks a move that hurts his knee. ‘Let’s Go Bret’. Another dragon screw and Owen gets figure four. Bret reverses and they both make ropes. Owen viscously kicks his knee in but Bret gets an enziguri which also hurts him a great deal. Bret beats on Owen now and whips Owen hard into corner for two. Bulldog by Bret- 2. Piledriver-2. Superplex-2. Bret hammers away and hooks the sleeper- Owen makes ropes and ballshots him for good measure. Owen gets Sharpshooter. Bret breaks it and gets one of his own but Owen makes ropes. Bret hammers away at Owen but gets whipped. Owen misses blind charge and Bret jumps on his back for a victory roll but Owen holds on and covers him for the win. Best. Match. Ever. ***** WHERE ARE THEY NOW- WWA comish, dead Todd talks to Owen with white gook next to his mouth. Wrestlemania Moment- The football/wrestler battle royal from WM2. Sy Sperling shows off Fink’s new toupee. Bam Bam Bigelow/Luna Vachon v. Doink and Dink THE STORYLINE- Triple B wasn’t amused by Doink’s antics and I’m sure didn’t like Dink either. Only BBB v. Doink and Luna v. Dink allowed THE MATCH-BBB kicks Doink’s ass but misses legdrop. Doink comes back and works on arm. BBB comes back, misses elbow and tags in Dink. Luna and Dink go and a comedy match results. Luna kicks his ass. Luna misses legdrop and Dink elbows for two. Dink runs around and gets kicked. Funny stuff. Luna misses elbow, Dink misses from top and gets his ass kicked more. Bodyslam but she misses splash. Doink tags in and beats on BBB but gets clotheslined out. Dink distracts the heels and runs. Doink gets his ass kicked more but comes back with jumping DDT. Doink misses buttsplash. BBB kills him more. Slam-2. Diving headbutt wins it. ½*- too much of a squash. Dink taughts the heels and gets splashed by Luna. WHERE ARE THEY NOW- I don’t think Triple B is still active, Luna was in WWA, I think Dink is dead, Doink-? “Bill Clinton” is in the crowd w/ IRS. At Wrestlemania III 93,000 saw Hogan take on Andre. “Macho Man” Randy Savage v. Crush (w/Mr. Fugi)- Falls Count Anywhere THE STORYLINE- Crush took on Yoko and got his ass whooped and Banzied like five times. He was mad Savage didn’t help him. Savage tried to talk to him and they agreed to talk it over but WHAM- Crush SWERVED him. You pin the guy on the outside, he has sixty secs to come back in THE MATCH-Savage attacks Crush to start but soon Crush kicks his ass. He presses him on guardrail and pins him. Savage tries to make it back in but Fugi cheats. Savage makes it back with two seconds left. Crush kicks his ass more. Savage gets hung in Tree of Woe and Crush gets the salt but it backfires. Savage hammers away and hits the axehandle. Flying elbow as Vince fucks up on commentary. Savage kicks him outside and covers him. Crush makes it back in with one second left after getting doused with water. Savage kicks Crush’s ass but gets chucked outside in a sick bump. Brawl on the outside- Crush gets smacked into ringpost and eats the steps. Savage clotheslines him over barricade and they brawl into the crowd where Savage gets superkicked. He goes for piledriver but gets backdropped to the floor. They brawl out of the crowd and into the backstage where Savage gets the pin. He hogties Crush on scaffolding and wins the match. Way ahead of its time. **1/4 WHERE ARE THEY NOW- Holding up WWA for 5 mil, Wwa Todd talks to “Bill Clinton” and IRS. Recap of FanFest. Macho Man is still celebrating. At Wrestlemania IV- Macho Man defeated four men to become champion. Alundrya Blaze v. Lelina Kai- Womens Title THE STORYLINE- Kai lost at WM1, 10 yrs later she wants another shot THE MATCH-Lockup- Kai takes her down, Blayze rolls her up-2. Sunset flip-2. Kai overpowers her and gets two on bodyslam. Hurricarana by Blayze-2. Kai uses hair and tosses her. Back in- Kai uses the hair more. Gutwrench suplex-2. Blayze gets clothesline and takes control. Suplex-2. Blayze uses hair-2. Blayze gets German for the win. This didn’t suck!!! ** WHERE ARE THEY NOW- Driving trucks, ? Nickolai Volkoff, Moolah and Mae look on. At Wrestlemania V- Piper had to deal with Brother Love and Morton Downey, Jr. Todd talks to Rhonda Shear who gets hit on by HBK. Burt Reynolds, who is really drunk, chases him away and him and Rhonda flirt. The Quebecers (w/Johnny Polo) v. Men on a Mission (w/Oscar)- WWF Tag Team Titles THE STORYLINE- uhhh yea. THE MATCH-Quebecers attack to start. Mabel beats on both. Mo and Pierre go. Mo crossbodies him-2. Tag Mabel. MOM doubleteam Pierre. Tag Mo. Double team elbow- Jacques saves. Mo plays face-in-peril as the Quebecers kick his ass and get several near falls. They do a sweet move where Jacques chucks Pierre out and he flies into Mo. Mo bowls over Pierre but Pierre cuts off tag. Pierre misses top rope legdrop- hot tag Mabel who cleans house. Mabel gets Rock Bottom. Mabel misses blind charge and Quebecers get double suplex- Johnny Polo goes crazy. Jacques launches Pierre onto Mabel who kicks out at two. Slugfest- Mabel beats Pierre. Heel miscommunication befalls the Quebecers- spinning heel kick by Mabel on Pierre. MOM pin Pierre but Polo distracts ref and Polo-Oscar go. Mabel and Pierre go outside and Pierre gets splashed for the countout. Not bad in all. ** WHERE ARE THEY NOW- Jacques runs his own promotion, I think both MOM still wrestle, Pierre-? At WM6 67,000 jammed the Skydome to see Hogan v. Warrior- Warrior won. Donnie Wahlberg and Rhonda Shear come out to do celeb proceedings Yokozuna (w/Mr. Fuji and James E. Cornette) v. Lex Luger- WWF Title Staredown- Slugfest- Lex wins and gets a clothesline. Yoko comes back but misses elbow and Yoko falls out. Brawl on the outside- Yoko eats steps. Crossbody by Lex-2. Elbow-2. Yoko pops up and smacks him and chokes out. Lex goes for bodyslam but Yoko falls on him-2. Yoko kicks his ass and exposes turnbuckle. Lex comes back but Yoko nails him and works him over. Yoko hooks a nerve hold. Luger breaks but gets nailed and gets his ass kicked. Back to nerve hold. Lex breaks but gets chucked out and Fuji lays in the boots. Lex makes it back in and gets his ass kicked. Back to nerve hold. Lex comes back but Yoko nails him. Back to nerve hold. Luger breaks but gets belly-to-bellied. Lex rams into exposed turnbuckle. Luger tries to get him down and finally does. Bodyslam!! Flying clothesline!! Cornette gets his ass kicked, Fuji the same. He covers Yoko but Perfect wont count cause the managers are in the ring. Luger touches him so Perf DQs him. Lesson of the day- Don’t fuck with Perfect. Summerslam was better. * WHERE ARE THEY NOW- dead, not active Huge Bullshit chant. Todd talks to Perfect who explains why Luger was DQed. Luger shows up and yells at him. At Wrestlemania 7 Jake and Martel battled in a blindfold match. Harvey Wippleman makes fun of Fink. He rips off his suit and Fink shoves him down. Adam Bomb comes out and threatens Fink. Earthquake makes the save. Earthquake v. Adam Bomb (w/Harvey Wippleman) Squash. DUD but a funny one. WHERE ARE THEY NOW- Wrestles in Florida, WWA Todd talks to Jim Cornette who cuts an amazing promo. At Wrestlemania 8 the Undertaker was there. Razor Ramon v. Shawn Michaels (w/Diesel) in a Ladder Match for the I-C Title THE STORYLINE- HBK was stripped of the belt and Razor won it in by beating Model. HBK was pissed and brought back his belt that he never lost claiming he was still I-C champ. Thus a feud was born. THE MATCH-HBK gets headlock and hammerlock, Razor reverses, HBK breaks. They trade stuff and Razor gets chokeslam. HBK gets neckbreaker and works him over. Razor comes back but gets chucked out. Diesel clotheslines him and Diesel gets tossed out. Razor nails HBK and hammers away him. HBK does a crazy flair flip and gets clotheslined outside. Brawl on the outside- Razor exposes concrete. HBK rakes him and stomps away in the ring. Razor pops him and goes for Edge. HBK chucks him out right on the concrete. Ouch. HBK goes for the ladder but Razor attacks him. Razor gets the ladder but HBK absolutely nails him with a baseball slide. HOLY SHIT! HBK gets the ladder and rams it into Ramon. He rams the ladder into his midsection and back and chucks it into his back. HBK climbs but Razor pulls his pants down. HBK kicks him away and drops the elbow on him with his ass showing. He pulls his pants up soon after. Bodylam and HBK does the famous splash from the top of the ladder. HOLY SHIT! HBK climbs but Razor jiggles the ladder and HBK goes flying into the ropes w/ his face going splat. They both collide with each other and both go down. HBK gets up and tries to whip Ramon into ladder but Ramon reverses and he goes flying into the ladder and goes flying outside. On the outside he rams the ladder into him and goes medieval on his ass. He slingshots HBK into the ladder and it falls right back on HBK. He whacks him in the jaw with the ladder and HBK flies out. Razor climbs but HBK saves at the very last moment but the ladder falls right on him. Both guys climb and brawl- Razor calmly chucks him off but the ladder gives way and he falls off as well. Razor climbs again but HBK dropkicks the ladder and he falls. He pushes the ladder onto Razor and hits Sweet Chin Music. He mocks Razor and hits a piledriver. He gets the ladder and leans forward so the ladder falls on Razor with him on top. HOLY SHIT! He puts the ladder on top of Razor and climbs and is thisclose to it but Razor pushes him off and he gets crotched and tangled in the ropes. Razor climbs as HBK fights with all his might to break free. Razor is able to grab the title and win the match. A match that set the tone for all the ladder matches today and has attained much deserved legendary status. ***** WHERE ARE THEY NOW- WWF, retired Jarrett, Afa, The Headshrinkers, IRS and Model argue over the captain and the match is cancelled. Todd talks to “Bill Clinton” again. Dibase shows up. At Wrestlemania IX the worlds largest toga party was held and a miscarriage of justice occurred. Video package of Hart-Yoko. Awesome stuff. Burt Reynolds, who partied w/ Scott Hall before the night, does ring intros and Jennie Garth is the timekeeper. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper is guest ref to an insane pop. Yokozuna (w/Mr.Fuji and James E. Cornette) v. Bret “Hitman” Hart- WWF Title Yoko attacks to start. Bret fights back but gets his ass kicked. Yoko works him over. Slugfest- Bret wins and he dropkicks him. Yoko wobbles. He tries again and Yoko moves. Yoko works him over more. Corny tries to interfere- Piper makes sure he doesn’t. Splash by Yoko but Bret moves. Bret hammers away but hurts himself on a headbutt. They both go down and Yoko kicks him in the head. Bret’s leg is still badly hurting him. Bret kicks Yoko and hammers away but Yoko strikes away. Bret hammers away more and finally gets Yoko down. It gets two. Corny fucks with Piper and gets popped as the crowd goes wild. Yoko works Bret over more and chokes him. Legdrop by Yoko and Bret is dead. Yoko taunts him and spits at him. Yoko chucks Bret out- Piper counts way too fast. Yoko kicks his ass more. Yoko misses blind charge and Bret gets bulldog for two. Bret forearms him for two. Bret hammera away and gets a flying clothesline. He covers for two. Bret goes up top but Yoko catches him and does belly to belly. BANZAI!!!! Yoko goes up top but falls and Bret covers him for the belt as the crowd batshit. Luger comes out and shakes his hand and they hug. Piper, Razor, Tatanka, Burt Reynolds, Bob Holly, 1-2-3 Kid, Rhonda Shear, Donnie Wahlberg, Gorilla Monsoon, Randy Savage and Vince himself come in to hoist Bret up and parade him around the ring. Great WWF Moment. Owen comes out and Savage tries to coax him into the ring but he just stands there and stares. This was Vince’s way of apologising to Bret for going with Hogan and Yoko. The Bottom Line- Any card featuring the greatest match of all time is worthy of a highest recommendation. This card also has another great classic ***** on it so my opinion is pretty obvious.
