Help with WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2006!

I have Smackdown vs Raw 2006, and wanted to make a real life tag team of the Big Show and Kane. It says to play season mode and win matches. I played a few, and have not gotten n e points for them! What am I doing wrong?

Either two things,

 

Play as the team in exhibition matches, and you'll slowly move up levels OR edit one of the premade tag teams and you'll get their stats.

I thought you had to play one of the tag team members in season mode? You play both of them in exhibition instead?!?!?!

What they mean by that is you have to play the Season mode to get the "experience Points" (same EXP points you use for CAWs ETC)

 

You use those points to bring up your Tag Team stats once you've "leveled up" by teaming in the exhibition modes.

 

It's confusing I know....
