Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2005 It looks like Jack Ketchum's infamous novel The Girl Next Door is going to become a movie. I don't know who's directing it, but the script was written by Philip Nutman and Dan Farrands, while the book has been acclaimed as one of the best pieces of horror fiction in the past 10 to 20 years. You can read the review for the screenplaye here http://www.horrorchannel.com/index.php?nam...wcontent&id=665 Also, Stuart Gordon has been attatched to direct a film version of Ketchum's Ladies Night, which deals with a chemical that turns women aggressive both sexually and violently, while Chris Siverstron (who was a editor for Lucky McKee's awesome movie May) has wrapped up on his directorial debut, an adaptation of Ketchum's novel The Lost, which stars Marc Senter, Dee Wallace Stone, and Michael Bowen. Speaking of Mckee, there's also been talks that the next movie he directs (at least until The Woods gets released) will be an adaptation of Ketchum's novel Red. , and he produced The Lost In minor news, WWE's horror movie See no Evil will be released on May 19th. It was once called Eye Scream Man, but it looks like they wisely turned down that title. Finally, George Romero has been talking a possible sequal to :and of the Dead. Basically, while it tanked in the US, it did well in Europe and Japan. More can be read here http://www.empireonline.co.uk/news/story.asp?NID=17593 That's all. Personally, I'm most stoked about the movies based on Jack Ketchum books. I hope they turn out great.
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2005 I'm psyched for another Romero zombie film. I've come to hate zombie films after seeing so many direct-to-video ones in the past two years, but if anyone can bring me back, it's Romero.
