Guest Report post Posted May 29, 2002 Leave it on Taker. He's been working a lot harder lately, damnit. Maybe this year, the finalist gets an automatic match against the champ? Feh
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 29, 2002 If HHH wins the title I'll guess that Edge will hold it sometime this year. If Taker retains I'll say RVD has to be the one to take it off of him. Theres too much history between Taker/RVD for it to come off of him any other way and mean anything. Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted May 29, 2002 Leave it on Taker. He's been working a lot harder lately, damnit. Where do you get THAT from? His match with Rock at No Way Out sucked large, Flair couldn't get anything out of him at Mania, and the #1 Contender's match at Backlash against Austin was one of the worst main events I have ever seen from the WWF, which does indeed cover a lot of ground. Besides, he's injurred now. That puts them right back where they were with Hogan because once again, they have a champion who isn't even healthy enough to wrestle consistantly, hence, the Dreamer beat-down. Guest Report post Posted May 29, 2002 I wouldn't mind seeing a triple threat if two conditions were met 1. Jericho v HHH v Undertaker 2. Jericho wins hey it could happen right Undertaker could do the job not HHH

Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 29, 2002 The only good...and interesting thing that can happen is RVD finally beating Taker in the big one. But since they won't do that... (And I think the reason is obviously because they don't feel he is ready, and realize that the next time he gets a title shot he has to win)...funny how a guy can be "ready" to kill himself on tv so your ratings can go up...or "ready" to main event half the house shows...or "ready" enough to remain the most consistantly over face for about a year straight now...but not ready to win the title and stop the flow of old men and politicians that have run the last 3 ppv main events... If the WWE has decided that Taker won't be a one month champ...then we'll see some kind of a messed up tag or handicap match with Vince against Hogan. If they want the belt off of him too...HHH will be there. That starts a new path that will lead to RVD staying in the midcard (He IS HHHs kryptonite after all) and the elavation of Edge in his place. Fuck that. Edge is boring. Look at how excited this site got since the false win last week for RVD, the whole week speculating for the KOTR, and a 20 minute ladder match that rocked. Edge can't draw that kind of interest. And again he lacks that special something that gets fans into his matches from start to finish. A rare trait that only a few people have (Austin, Rock and RVD come to mind.)

A rare trait that only a few people have (Austin, Rock and RVD come to mind.) Listen: RVD is being sabotaged, not pushed. I don't think they ever had intensions of pushing him at all. I think it was classic shock booking to try and raise interest, at the most. RVD jobbed in the opener at the PPV, and then finally got his shot the next night. The reason? Probably because they knew it wouldn't work, and sure enough, Raw did a 3.7. Who thought RVD could win? Enough people predicted it to the point that even the "fluke win" didn't raise interest, because everyone knew he had no chance. The glass cieling is so thick that even the fans can see it now, and that includes being able to spot a shock-booking move when it presents itself. Agreed. Edge is borring. Edge's promos reak of lameness and childish antics. That's why he's being pushed. Why do you think he was put in the same promo with Hunter? Because Edge is so bad on the microphone when it comes to being serious that Hunter couldn't have possibly looked bad. Until they truly break the cieling and build new stars for real, it'll never change. RVD will be in the tournament and job to Brock, or something. And so on. Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted May 29, 2002 I'm not really sure what RVD does at this point. Frankly, I don't think the WWF knows quite what to do with him either. RVD seems to be the ultimate case of the WWF not really wanting to push someone, but the fans bitch about it to such an extent that they have to. And then they just push him enough to shut the fans up, but not REALLY push him. Know what I mean? I suppose they could transition the IC title to someone else, though I have no idea who it would be. Brock is the only logical guy I can think of. I might say Booker but we've seen RVD beat him before. Could have Brock take the IC title on a Raw soon then RVD gives him his first pinfall defeat in the KOTR tourney. You know the WWF just wants to push Edge. I like Edge, but as BPS has said he just doesn't do "it" for a lot of people.
