Proposed Main Page Relaunch

No question mark.

And I wouldn't call it that.

But, what I want to call it, probably won't be allowed. So, it's moot.

Ok, I think we need to decide on some good general categories...

Sports - NFL, NHL, Wrestling, etc..?

Entertainment?

Technology? - Anyone want to write or do stuff for this?

The random/everything else category (Needs a good catchy name)

They need to be general enough for future use, but defined categories, if that makes sense...

Wrestling should probably have it's own category, and it likely will be the subject that most people will write about.

For technology, I could write about doodads for your PC, and such. I don't know if such would be interesting, though.

For technology, I can write about all things related Mac.

Since everyone here agrees that TSM has grown into being more than wrestling, and should not abandon it, I think we should leave wrestling in the sports subheading.

Wrestling should be in it's own category, because it's not a sport.

There should be categories for:

Wrestling

Sports

Entertainment (TV, Film, Music, other Mass Medias)

If it's demanded and warrented than categories for technology and even...dating advice...can be included.

As for the catch-all category...how about just being a hack and calling it the Soapbox or something? That's basically what this site as a whole is.

Wrestling, Sports, Entertainment are the set ones for now...

What about politics/religion/beliefs?

What should the name for the etc column or cat. be? melting Pot? community jar? Soap box (from above)?

I have a felling, if we have alot of writers, we will have a high turn over rate in articles, making someones article quickly decline, makinig us either have pages full of articles or more categories.

SmartHelmet: That isn't a jab at your Republican buddies, is it? :)

Kyliejunge: No?

Kyliejunge: Oh yeah.

SmartHelmet: the Pit

Kyliejunge: Oops, forgot about that.

Kyliejunge: I meant the Wu-Tang song.

Kyliejunge: It'd be a cool way of saying it's where we go and scrap with our words, figuratively.

Who is SmartHelmet.

Oh, and admin, you should probably post about the edited content you made in the 1st post here.

I'd volunteer my services for MMA (P)reviews of the big two, PRIDE and the UFC. Of course I know of some others on here who would be interested in writing it too. If it's a possible topic for the main site, you definitely would be able to find people interested in writing about it.

I don't care enough to do Fantasy Sports stuff. You can do that all on your own if you would like. I just wanna do the NFL mock draft and point out the players who could be sleepers. I'm also willing to do a recap of the draft and talk about the 5 best drafts and 5 worst drafts.

Just to make sure everyone knows, please read the first post in this topic...

The categories on the site are only a sample and several were included when I set it up. Besides removing a few, like olympics, which am I obviously missing?

It's like that one line on the Simpsons. The "Bart sells his soul" episode.

Yeah, it was originally Professor PJ Corucopia's Fantastic Foodmagorium and Great American Steakery.

Did you, really? Everyone here is some type of nerd or snob. The comic nerds have as much right as the music snobs to have a column, be it about Spider-Man or Radiohead.

York should take that stupid H out of his first name.
