Guest saturnmark4life Posted May 29, 2002 Report Posted May 29, 2002 -Hogan did his legdrop with the wrong leg once I nearly collapsed, died, conducted my own burial all so i could turn in my grave when i saw that.
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 29, 2002 Report Posted May 29, 2002 i've seen two wrestlers (can't remember who but the rock might have been one) swing different ways on a swinging neckbreaker. it was too funny because whoever was running off the ropes stopped and locked on the hold and swung but the guy taking the move swung the other way. it was fucking ugly and of course JR tried to cover it up with something like "he tried to reserve out of that at the last second."
Guest saturnmark4life Posted May 29, 2002 Report Posted May 29, 2002 UT/Kane v kronik also featured the worst post bump ever, with adams just brushing past it with his shoulder, and then shaking his head like 'whoa, that steel post just interrupted my brisk walk' SS96 shawn/vader shawn goes for the elbow, and lands on his feet cos vader doesn't move. He then starts kicking vader in the head telling him to move. I'm sure i wasn't alone in wishing vader would beat the living shit out of him. vince: 'Shawn Michaels knew he couldn't hit the elbow from that angle!'
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 29, 2002 Report Posted May 29, 2002 UT/Kane v kronik also featured the worst post bump ever, with adams just brushing past it with his shoulder, and then shaking his head like 'whoa, that steel post just interrupted my brisk walk' lol. that is one of the few memories i still have from that match.
Guest caboose Posted May 29, 2002 Report Posted May 29, 2002 Fully Loaded 1999. Rocky Vs. Triple H in a strap match. Rocky goes for the People's elbow, but rather than nailing the elbow part, Rocky just slips and kind of gently lays across Triple H.
Guest J*ingus Posted May 30, 2002 Report Posted May 30, 2002 Mandatory Taker Fuck Up: at Summerslam '98, he tried for an awesome move when he laid out Austin on the spanish announce table, went to the top turnbuckle, and with a mighty leap came down with a legdrop. Problem was, the table didn't break, and both men went sliding off of it and ended up lying on top of each other underneath the table. Mandatory Nash Fuck Up: when he once tried to powerbomb Mike Awesome off the stage through a table, but didn't get him up, and Awesome teetered dangerously in the Ganso Bomb position. But thank god DDP happened to be standing next to them, and he grabbed Awesome, pushed him up into a diamond cutter, and leaped off the stage himself so poor Mikey wouldn't get killed. Mandatory Big Show Fuck Up: the night after he won the title at Survivor Series '99. It was bad enough that he was defending against the then-nothing British Bulldog (RIP), but they proceeded to blow the chokeslam in one of the most spectacular fashions I've ever seen, with Davey Boy taking the move almost like an arm drag. Mandatory Test Fuck Up: when he couldn't even bump properly for Mark Henry's lame-ass clotheslines on Smackdown a couple of weeks ago. Mandatory Kane Fuck Up: when he chokeslammed Vader WAY too hard at No Way Out '98, causing a metal surgical piece inside of Vader's eye socket to actually pop out. Mandatory Sabu Fuck Up: the night be lost the NWA world title back to Mike Rapada, he went for an Arabian facebuster onto a table, but somehow cut his wrist wide open in the process and started spurting blood. Mandatory Sid Fuck Up: WCW Sin 2001, 'nuff said. Mandatory Hogan Fuck Up: okay, this one wasn't his fault, but he was still involved. At WMIII, Andre went to headbutt him on the outside, Hogan dodged and Andre "headbutted" the ringpost and sold it, despite the fact that there was CLEARLY an entire foot or so between his head and the pole. Real Mandatory Hogan Fuck Up: his sad, sad attempt to "slam" Andre at WMIV, where Andre always had at least one point of contact with the ground throughout the move. (It was the LAST time he ever attempted that.) Mandatory HHH Fuck Up: at Summerslam '97, when Foley threw him over the ropes and into the cage, Hunter flipped upside-down in an awkward position and slid down the bars, probably taking half the skin off his back in the process. Mandatory Low-Ki Fuck Up: at the WWA Revolution show, when he tried to go for some kind of spinning corkscrew senton thing and completely blew the move, landing half-assedly on his feet and kind of slumping across his intended target. (EVERY TIME I watch a match with this overrated fuck, he blows something really badly.)
Guest Redhawk Posted May 30, 2002 Report Posted May 30, 2002 I love Booker T and all, but doesn't it seem like at least once per match, he "kicks" someone with the back of his knee?
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 30, 2002 Report Posted May 30, 2002 Mandatory Kane Fuck Up: when he chokeslammed Vader WAY too hard at No Way Out '98, causing a metal surgical piece inside of Vader's eye socket to actually pop out. can anyone confirm this?
Guest What?! Posted May 30, 2002 Report Posted May 30, 2002 Mick Foley breaking his nose by doing an elbowdrop at No Way Out 2000.
Guest J*ingus Posted May 30, 2002 Report Posted May 30, 2002 Mandatory Kane Fuck Up: when he chokeslammed Vader WAY too hard at No Way Out '98, causing a metal surgical piece inside of Vader's eye socket to actually pop out. can anyone confirm this? I got the story from Vader himself, in his RF shoot interview. Mandatory Hansen Fuck Up: in a match at the Tokyo Dome in 1990, Stan Hansen punched Vader so hard in the side of his head that Vader's eye came out of its socket, thus necessitating the need for the aforementioned metal surgical piece.
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 30, 2002 Report Posted May 30, 2002 wow. I own that shoot so I guess I should get around to watching it. how noticable is his eye on the tape, and why did they go ahead with kane smashing him over the head if his eye was in such rough shape?
Guest J*ingus Posted May 31, 2002 Report Posted May 31, 2002 You can't really see anything, all you can tell is that something seems to be wrong, but Vader has such an unusual selling style that it's hard to tell anyway. Why they still went through with the wrench I dunno.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted June 29, 2002 Report Posted June 29, 2002 Sabu vs Sandman in the Stairway to hell match, Sabu lands jaw first on the railing Saturn vs. Pitbull #? - Saturn tries to do a moonsault over the guardrail but lands forehead first on it (Not sure if it was intentional or not)
Guest Smeghead Posted June 29, 2002 Report Posted June 29, 2002 Thought of a few more. Edge vs. Booker T, Wrestlemania X8: Booker is on the top turnbuckle. Edge takes him down with a Frankensteiner, but Booker doesn't fly forward far enough and lands right on top of Edge. Taz vs. Bam Bam Bigelow, Living Dangerously 98: Taz sends Bam Bam off the entrance ramp and over the guardrail with a T-bone Suplex, and Taz hits his head on the guardrail on the way down. Joey Styles: "It's a miracle we can't see Taz' brains!" one of the last FMW pay-per-views, can't remember name or date: Hayabusa goes for a quebrada (Lionsault), a move he's done in nearly every match he's been in with no problems. He slips on the rope as he flips backward and lands right on his head, breaking his neck and paralyzing him. He's still in a hospital today, although I think he can move his upper body now without too much trouble.
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 29, 2002 Report Posted June 29, 2002 how about when taz hit sabu in the jaw with a running clothesline and broke his jaw during ecw tv match. taz hit him so hard that he broke the tendons in his arm.
Guest -Cutthroat- Posted June 29, 2002 Report Posted June 29, 2002 When BigShow fell back on Tazz and nearly shatered his ribs...
Guest -Cutthroat- Posted June 29, 2002 Report Posted June 29, 2002 Mandatory Kane Fuck Up: when he chokeslammed Vader WAY too hard at No Way Out '98, causing a metal surgical piece inside of Vader's eye socket to actually pop out. can anyone confirm this? Yeah right, that would never happen...
Guest Angle is Wrestling Posted June 30, 2002 Report Posted June 30, 2002 Yet another mandatory Undertaker Fuck Up: 'Taker vs. Flair at Wrestlemania X8, 'Taker goes for two last rides and can't pick him up either time. Then he plays it off well by acting like he'd rather do the Tombstone instead, and does it. Vince Fuck Up: Vince's botched Pedigree from HHH during the HHH-Steph wedding. Rhino fuck up: ECW's final PPV, Guilty as Charged 2001. Rhino goes for the gore on the Sandman and slips, then gets up again and does it. That shit was HILARIOUS. Funny fuck up: At a WWF house show in 1996, two jobbers I had never heard of before were wrestling the opening match, and one of them went for a clothesline and tripped while running into the guy, he fell down and went rolling to the outside, FUNNY SHIT. Needless to say, I never saw either one again. I don't know if anyone has mentioned these, because I'm too lazy to go back and look.
Guest Angle is Wrestling Posted June 30, 2002 Report Posted June 30, 2002 Obvious fuck up: Sid breaking leg while coming off the top rope.
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 30, 2002 Report Posted June 30, 2002 the last ride looks like a pretty hard move the the taker to pull off, especially on some wrestlers. older guys like hogan and flair have no chance of ever taking it properly.
Guest Kid Kablam Posted June 30, 2002 Report Posted June 30, 2002 Chris Benoit...Sabu...Backdrop...Broken Neck. Nuff said. Yes even the great Chris Benoit has his monster screw up, and it turned out to be one of the best career moves he made (or blew depending on your point of view). Also, this isn't a blown move but in Ken Shamrock's first match against Vader didn't he break Vader's nose.
Guest Austin3164life Posted June 30, 2002 Report Posted June 30, 2002 the fakest looking roll-up win since Austin v. Owen Summerslam '97. Speaking of fuck-ups, how can we not forget Owen Hart's (God rest his soul) botched piledriver. I watched the same chain used in Bret/Owen WM X, and Owen used a tombstone variation, whereas with Austin at Summerslam, Owen did a regular piledriver......
Guest Sandman9000 Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 RVD/Sabu vs. Hayabusa/Shinzaki from Heatwave '98. Hayabusa whips RVD into the ropes, and I guess that RVD was supposed to springboard back into an arm drag or something. RVD hits the ropes, hesistates for a second, jumps onto the second rope, comes back, and he and Hayabusa fuck up horribly, with both men just falling to the mat. I just sat there and shook my head. In the same match, Shinzaki tries to bring a table into the ring. In doing so, he managed to break one of the table's legs. Still, he tries to lay RVD across the table, with one of the legs standing. Instead, the table collapses, and Hayabusa is forced to come off the top with a normal splash. Later on, you can see Alfonso tell Sabu to move the table, since the second that Alfonso comes near Sabu, Sabu jumps up and goes to get the table. However, Sabu manages to cut two of his fingers on the metal edge of the table.
Guest TheHulkster Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 Jimmy Yang blew 2 spots in a 10 seconds span on a WCW ppv, garnering one of the biggest you fucked up chants i have ever heard. Hogan vs Taker @ Judgement Day and that horrid chokeslam
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 Another one: Shawn vs Bulldog at IYH: Beware of Dog. During some sort of irish whip sequence, Bulldog goes for a knee, but Shawn winds up running on the other side, trips (tires to avoid the ropes) and takes one of the funniest/unprotected bumps I've ever seen to the outside. Vince has no explanation whatsoever for this odd occurence. Nothing gruesome, but he was going pretty fast and knew the only way to avoid slamming into the ropes and breaking his neck was to bump to the outside. Just a weird spot.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 Mandatory Taker Fuck-Up Number whatever: When he tried to do the Last Ride to Test and damn near fell over the ring ropes. Talk about embarassing. Another one involving Taker: At No Way Out this year against Rock, Rocky was coming back and was doing a running neckbreaker, but both guys both their ends of the move and it looks like one of Buff Bagwell's patented fuck-ups.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 Arn Anderson selling the stunner about a month ago on RAW like a diamond cutter was gold. ECW Anarchy Rulz 99: Devito from Da Baldies picks up Nova for the Bronx Bomb (think of a rock bottom and the opponent sits down beside you) and he picked Nova up and set him down as gentle as a newborn baby, without even bothering to go down with him. Crowd let him have it so he shot them a look and did the move properly second time around.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 WCW SuperBrawl: Revenge 6-Man Cruiser - #1 Contendership to Cruiserweight Title THE PLAYERS: Evan Karagias, Yang THE INTENDED MOVE: A spinkick to Evan's back, designed to either send him over the top rope or get his attention. WHAT HAPPENED: Yang did indeed do the spinkick, and he made light contact. But Evan no-sold it, and you best believe the crowd chanted "you fucked up." The 2 went on to botch every attempt at a move, ending with Evan taking a horribly gentle knee-drop backdrop piledriver.
