In other news, I find it hilarious that the local news is acting like Chuck Long becoming the SDSU head coach is the equivalent of USC hiring Pete Carroll. Newsflash: Chuck is vanilla.

And predictable. He's good when he's coaching a young QB but calling plays? Not so much.

Imagine the talent OU had last year. Jason White, Adrian Peterson, Mark Clayton, Mark Bradley, and that O-Line. They should've put up 50 per game!

Psst Leelee, you can stop trying to goad Damaramu into an argument with you. He doesn't give a fuck about you.

It was actually making a point.

Which I know you can't do.

So, keep kissing people's asses and maybe someday they won't realize you're a blithering idiot. I also like when you try talking like a hardass... it was especially funny at NMB when you did that. Good times.

I've created a thread for the game so all further discussion please go to the Holiday Bowl thread.

Of course for all of us that want to discuss the Emerald Bowl can stay here...um well nevermind.

Georgia Tech apparantly went with "apathy" towards being passed over by bowls rather than being fired up. Utah about to put this one away.

Good comeback.... Making a point about what? Trolling? Liking Oregon? Being a so-called hardass? What? What exactly did you attempt to accomplish by trying to put down OU at every turn just because Damaramu made a few mentions of them? I'll just chalk it up to you being a silly little bitch with nothing better to do than put people down at The Pit or making a thread crying to have HTQ demodded because you've been exposed as an idiot many times... I would love to hear that "point" you were making.

Poor Music City Bowl, getting absolutely no love or promos from ESPN. They keeping saying it's a doubleheader tomorrow but it's actually a tripleheader with Virginia/Minnesota kicking it off early.

I'll be watching, and surely giving you guys a recap that is interesting only to me. I didn't realize till now that this year's Music City Bowl is a "rematch" of last year's Bored Bowl--me repping Virginia, Vern for Minnesota. I'd be there myself if not for the noon start and insanely expensive Nashville hotels.

I don't think the loss of JaMarcus Russell is going to hurt LSU at all. This was going to be a defensive game anyway, his loss doesn't tip the scales towards Miami. A TD on special teams is going to be the difference in this one.

I don't know. The Miami corners are good but they can get burned by smart playcalls and a big throw once or twice a game, as we saw in the Georgia Tech and Virginia games. Russell would have given them that a few times. Without Russell to provide an occasional deep threat, you think LSU is going to be able to establish much of a running game? I don't even know who the LSU back-up is.

I don't even know who starts, because they rotate in so many guys. Addai, Vincent and Carey are what I remember, but I'm sure I'm forgetting someone. I've never seen Flynn, so I have no idea what to expect from him. I wish Teke could fill me in. I don't know which Miami's going to show up either, the unstoppable one, or the team that doesn't even belong out on the field? We'll see.

34-31! Go Hoos! I couldn't have been happier to be wrong in Bored's contest. Chris Long was a fucking beast today, and Marques Hagans, despite fucking up severely twice, otherwise had a career day. Wali Lundy sets the all-time ACC touchdown record at 52, and I head into the off-season happy.

Northwestern is currently kicking the crap out of UCLA.

So much for what I said earlier.

But then again, being down 22-14 at halftime is nothing new for the Bruins, who's used to making those killer second half comebacks all season long.

See what I mean? Tied at 22 already.

Actually this is a much better matchup than I'd first imagined.

Well Northwestern got all their points off of turnovers so they probably need to get a few more to even have a shot in this game.

Man Maurice Drew leaves and UCLA just gets better. What's up with that?

Which is odd, because Justin London, Jarrad Page, and Spencer Havner (all UCLA defenders) are all first-day quality picks. I never understood why this defense is so bad.

And Mizzou begins the process of pissing away any good will or support the Big XII won over the last few days.

Brad Smith is overrated and Gary Pinkel is the shittiest coach in the Big XII not named Dennis Franchione. I knew they were going to get their asses kicked when they ended up getting South Carolina.
