Mole 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2006 Okay I was looking at WWE.com's title history and I came across the WWE Tag Titles. The WWE titles are actually the new ones that Benoit and Angle won in 02 while the World Titles are the old ones. Why is WWE doing this? Wouldn't you think they would make the WWE Tag Titles the old ones and the World one the new one? Or did they always call the old titles the World Tag Titles? That make sense? Guest Nathan Report post Posted January 2, 2006 At the time, the WWE title was on Smackdown and the world title was on Raw, so my guess would be they just changed the names in order to have the same prefix in front of the tag titles as the world title. Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 Yup World Singles & Tag on Raw WWE Singles & Tag on Smackdown well untill they switched champions in the draft lottery, now RAW has both the real world champion and tag champions(which was unified with the wcw tag titles back in 01), as well as the IC champ with the world, us and cruiser, titles on smackdown, its almost like SD is WCW Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
