Guest Invader3k Report post Posted May 30, 2002 Does anyone remember a guy by the name of Angel of Death? I mention it because someone said he was one of the Russian Assassins in another thread. I first saw him when he was in Global Wrestling Federation out of Dallas in the early '90s. Supposedly he was supposed to be the Black Scorpion in WCW. Whatever happened to him? Guest Report post Posted May 30, 2002 Angel of Death actually trained in the same class that produced Sting, Warrior and Steve DiSalvo. He was a bodyguard for the Freebirds in UWF and did indeed serve as one of the Russian Assassins. He was involved in the Black Scorpion angle, and played one of the fake ones (I don't know if he was ever meant to be THE Scorpion, as he just wasn't that big a name, even if he fit the clues). Sadly, he permanently retired after suffering some kind of injury (leg, I think) in a WCW match with PN News.

Guest swan Report post Posted May 30, 2002 Didn't Jack Victory wrestle using the Angel of Death gimmick too? Or was he one of the Russian Assassins?

Guest Report post Posted May 30, 2002 Angel of Death's real name is Dave Sheldon, and he has no connection to Al Greene. Considerable size difference too, as Greene is shorter and stocky while AoD was much taller. Sheldon and Victory were tag team as The Russian Assassins.
