Guest Flyboy Report post Posted May 30, 2002 I don't care what game it is... just great matches. Can you played or simmed... against the CPU or friends. I want matches that made you go, "... Wow" after you played it and if it was a real match would have been *****. WWF No Mercy for N64: I was Lance Storm going through the IC Title path, and I had a match with Jericho. I thought it was going to be just a walkover... I was wrong. Jericho and I battled for about 15 minutes... the guy would NOT stay down, but neither would I. I don't remember the winner, but it was a great match for me going for the title. Surprised the hell out of me that it would be that hard. I've also had some good Hayabusa/Lyger matches. And some really good RVD/Flyboy (CAW) matches. There's TON more for NM, but I won't get into all of them. WWF Smackdown! 2: Know Your Role for PSX (well, bleem! for me since I never had a PSX.. or PS2 for the matter): The Smackdown-game engine can be VERY arcadey, but they still can produce some hella good matches.. maybe not up AKI game standards, but still. The best match ever was Flyboy (CAW) Vs. Blink (CAW.. yes, the mutant ) simmed.. the ending made this match great. It was like Edge Vs. Angle 1 with all the near falls. I'll skipped to the end... Blink went for a Swanton Bomb, FB rolled out the way. FB took control.. Fly Kick, and other moves. FB even hit the Fly-Down, his finisher. (Pedigree in the game; Sit-Down Pedigree is the real move) Blink STILL kicked out. FB went for HIS Swanton Bomb, but Blink made him crotch himself. FB got back up.. went for a Fly Kick (spinning heel kick), but Blink side-stepped it. FB got back up... Displacement Strike (her finisher; Twist of Fate)! It was over. Great match as I watched it. Unfolded greatly. Hopefully, I can have some damned good ones in WMX8 when it comes out.. What are some of your favorite/greatest matches?
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted May 30, 2002 None of mine ever resemble real matches, since I mostly play the Smackdown games, and the vast majority of them are me beating the other guy in less than three minutes.
Guest Report post Posted May 30, 2002 Most of My matches: Dungeon of Doom squashes jobbers. Mostly it's the Frankenstein's Monster knocking someone out with the Big Show's chokeslam.

Yeah... I know what you mean, but in the SD! match I had it lasted close to.. 10 minutes, amazingly. I was shocked, and it was a great match.
Guest Report post Posted May 30, 2002 I have had many, many 10 + minute hard ass wrestling matches on my Game Boy Advance with Fire Pro Wrestling. A lot of the times I just barely hit a Stone Cold Stunner to get the pin or KO. Game is freaking HARD on normal difficulty and even on the easiest setting you are looking at 3-4 min. minimum. Guest J*ingus Report post Posted May 30, 2002 In the SD! series, it's easy to have a 10-minute match; just have a tag match. It gets REAL annoying the 57th time the opponent's partner interferes and breaks up your pin attempt. As for a singles match, the only way it should ever take that long would be on Hard mode. And somebody, tell me about Fire Pro Wrestling. Supposedly it's the greatest wrestling series of all time, but I find that hard to reconcile with the fact that they're all 2-D. I mean, are we talking Street Fighter 2-D, Final Fight 2-and-a-half-D, or what?
Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted May 30, 2002 No Mercy: My CAW was 'fueding' with Mick's old Mankind character. Something always intrigued me about that character, and in NM he's a pretty good match. We had an Iron Man Match (on expert). Yup the full hour, and it was back and fourth the entire time. I threw down my controller several times over the course of the next half-hour as Mick kept getting pin fall after pinfall. Pausing in between pin falls to calm myself. I had to pin him with freakin' body slams and forarems as the son of a bitch wouldn't let me get the Lyger Bomb. Although working on his arm and leg for 15 minutes and making him tap in less than a second in a hold, gave me a warm feeling inside. In the end I won when I resorted to getting m spirit up. I know, it's cheap. But it had to be done.

The game rocks 8 different kinds of ass. You can pick it up in a GameStop for as low as 14 bucks. Game Boy Advance is only like 70 now and a lot of the games are great. Everything from Castlevania to Super Mario, F-Zero Advance, its all pretty damn good.
Guest papacita Report post Posted May 30, 2002 Yesterday I was playing SD3 as Trish and I had a damn good match against Molly. It was seriously back and forth, had a lot of near falls, and even this cool looking spot where I gave Molly the Scotty 2 Hotty facecrusher off the stage onto the floor. Somehow I ended up losing though...but it was still good. HM for the SD series is from SD2 when I finally hit the frogsplash from the top through the announce table. Guest Ripper Report post Posted May 30, 2002 RVD/Dean Malenko on No Mercy in a Ladder Match. This was the greatest match I ever had. Reversals back and forth, Dean took out my Leg, I took out his arm. We had it all, Frogg splashes from the ring to the floor, piledrivers on the stairs on the table, It was just a beauty. It went on for 45 minutes. The finsish was Dean pulled off the said Piledriver on me(after i set it all up for my move, and went for the ladder. I got up, threw the stairs at the ladder, tied him in the tree of woe, and went for the climb. He got up and Dropkicked the ladder just As I won. It was a ***** effort. Guest HBK16 Report post Posted May 30, 2002 When I try to have fun in a match then yes, it goes more than 10 minutes. The best match was probably RVD vs. Sabu. I was RVD. I even did a five star splash to the outside of the ring. I remember it going to 15 or 17 minutes. But whe I am in a run for a belt and don't want to risk loosing, I just get a weapon and beat the guy senseless and the match ends in about 2 minutes in every game. Guest gilpdawg Report post Posted June 1, 2002 On WCW/Nwo Revenge for N64, Goldberg was almost unstoppable on the Hardest difficulty setting. And of course, I hate Kevin Nash, but I knew I would have a hard time beating him with anybody else. I used to book whole PPV's, Nitro's, and everything with that game. I still have the notebook that I used to write everything down, but anyway, I was Nash. Goldberg kicked my ass for 10 minutes, I kicked his ass for 10 minutes, and I finally pulled it out in like 22:30 after my fifth jackknife powerbomb. Unlike in real life, it was a great match. Another time I was Bret Hart vs. Goldberg and he whipped my ass for like 8 minutes and I got a fluke small-package and he actually stayed down. I jumped up from my chair on that one. Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted June 1, 2002 Benoit vs Angle HIAC for Smackdown2 on PS1. Benoit and angle always produce great matches on SM2. This one went a good 30 minutes. Jeff hardy vs Matt Hardy TLC. 35 minutes and was very hard to win.
Guest Report post Posted June 2, 2002 The problem is, they usually make the games too easy or too hard. Oh well. Anyways, in No Mercy, I was playing as Kris Kinsella(CAW) against Benoit in an 30 minute iron man match. It went one fall. I kid you not. I pulled out small packages, roll ups, everything. I couldnt stop him and he just kept pounding me. Finally I got my 2nd wind, so to speak, hit two dropkicks in a row, knocking him to the outside. I went up top for a swanton bomb and....I missed. He rolled me back into the ring and casually pinned me. Man....Benoit is an ass....
Guest Report post Posted June 2, 2002 I've got hundreds of them, mainly in SmackDown!: Just Bring It. In Wrestlemania 2000, I was playing as Tommy Dreamer (CAW) and was against, I believe, Jericho. The best 30 Minute match I ever saw. I hit the Tommy-knocker, I think, five times before Jericho would stay down, and he hit the Triple Powerbomb four times, each time, I just barely kicked out. Shite, it was fun. In SD!: Just Bring It, I had RVD/Shane Helms (both CAW, obviously) against Benoit/Jericho for the Tag Titles. 15 Minutes of awesomeness later, RVD hit the Fisherman Buster to keep Benoit down, went up top, and delivered a picture perfect Five Star Frog Splash. Jericho ran in to make the save, but Shane Helms delivered a huge clothesline to keep him away. I loved every moment of that match. SD!: Just Bring It-Tajiri vs. RVD vs. Shane Helms vs. Christian vs. Dean Malenko vs. Jerry Lynn. I was Tajiri, and I layed waste to the place. I hit RVD with a Karate Kick, which kept him down long enough for the three count, then I hit Christian with a Dragon Suplex to get the three. Tajiri, Shane Helms, Dean Malenko and Jerry Lynn left. JL immediately came after me, while Helms beat down on Malenko. I kicked JL square in the teeth as he came running at me, but he got up quickly, kicking me in the gut and delivering a Tornado DDT. I kicked out, but just barely. I got back up and kicked Jerry Lynn, just as Dean Malenko made Helms tap out with the Cloverleaf. I ran to Malenko and ducked under his clothesline, hitting the Dragon Suplex, pinning him. I got back up and grappled JL...GREEN MIST!! He fell to the ground, thus giving me the chance I was looking for. Kick, 1, 2, 3. Total Time: 10 min, 15 seconds. Awesome. No Mercy-Ken Dudley (CAW, Duh) vs. Tajiri (CAW)-Light Hevyweight Title Ladder Match. All I can say is I hit a top-rope DDT onto the ladder at Eight Minutes as KD. Great, Great fun. SD!: Just Bring It-The Sandman vs. Rhyno-Hardcore Match. Sandman delivers "brutal" cane shots, the final knocking Rhyno out of the ring. I, as The Sandman, am expecting to win this match because hey...I can't be beaten. Anyway, Rhyno and I are at the top of the ramp, and I run at Rhyno, who ducks underneath my run and delivers a Gore. He picks me back up and delivers a Jackknife off the stage to the concrete stuff below. He jumps down and covers. Winner: Rhyno. Short, but good Hardcore finish. SD!: Just Bring It-Kurt Angle vs. Shane McMahon-I Quit match. Skip to the end. We fight outside to the front steps of the arena. I then whip Shane to the far end, but he stops before he reaches the end. I run after him while he stands there, taunting me. I duck under his clothesline and I hit a Belly-to-Belly Overhead Suplex off the loading thing. He was "out". I then Anglesaulted, but I broke up the three because...I dunno, I just didn't think he would get pinned. I picked Shane back up and led him towards the stairs. I Germaned him on the stairs, then picked him back up and hit the Angle Slam on said stairs. Then, I got the give up. Whoo. I've got more, I just don't want to bore you any longer. What? Sorry, I was just playing it again and had another great match. SD!: Just Bring It-K Money (CAW, and my best one, at that) vs. Kurt Angle-WWF Title Last Man Standing. I beat him after hitting the Money Clip (Pedigree) twice. About five minutes earlier, Angle locked me in the Angle Lock and I stayed down for 9. I then hit the Money Clip through the announce table for nine after an exchange of suplexes, then I hit the Money Clip (I raised it up to two) back in the ring and regained the title. Greatness. Total Time was 15 Minutes on-the-dot.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted June 3, 2002 I had a REALLY good 3 Way Ironman TKO match between Kawada, Misawa, and Kobashi... You would be surprised at how hard that is. I had a swanktacular Misawa v. Kawada match that only went for aboot 15 minutes and ended sort of lacklustrey, but it had the PSYCHOLOGY in it.
Guest Ripper Report post Posted June 3, 2002 I just got FirePro for Gameboy Advanced and I had the greatest match between the fakeass Chris Jerhico and fakeass Hogan. It went on for 23:16 with him finally going down to the triple power bomb pin combo. Then I put on the Liontamer after the match just to be ass.
Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted June 3, 2002 On VPW2 I had a great match, I was Misawa and I was fighting Yugi Nagata. I hit my special in 2:00 and he kicked out, so I went for my super special and he kicked out of that too, I finally put him away after a combo of elbow strikes. Another great match was Daisuke Ikeda vs Shinjiro Ohtani. I used Ikdea's special on him three times and got the pin after a springboard leg lariat VPW2 is the best AKI wrestling game ever, its even better than no mercy. Guest Redhawk Report post Posted June 4, 2002 Smackdown 3: The Rock (1P) vs. Triple H (CPU): 3 Stages of Hell. The first match was a ladder match, which HHH won after about 10-12 minutes and a lot of near-grabs. In that match I suplexed HHH off the top of the ladder twice, and he gave me a hiptoss off the ladder once. He won after knocking me out of the ring with the ladder and then setting up up to climb. The next match was Hell in a Cell. I won this match after about 7 minutes. HHH suplexed me through the top of the cell but didn't go for the pin. We went to the top again, and I Rock Bottomed him through the hole in the top for the pin. The third match was "I Quit" rules. I won that after 5 minutes, a People's Elbow and a Rock Bottom. Guest Report post Posted June 4, 2002 During one of the Hardcore title routes in No Mercy, I had a straight up singles match that I would give a solid **. ** is far from a great match, I know, but considering I was TAKA Michinoku facing off against Viscera in a 10-and-a-half minute bout, I'd say ** is pretty fucking amazing. Guest Insanityman Report post Posted June 4, 2002 I only have No Mercy... my two favorites were yesterday but my last was a while back. In a 10 minute iron man match with Beniot for the Light Heavywieght Championship with a CAW of mine on expert. It went back and forth until I hit a Chokeslam from Hell from the outside onto a ring bell. (Had it on hardcore) anyways but I got my special and retreated to the ring since Beniot had ran away and got a kendo stick. He slide in and I hit my finisher (Russian Neck Drop) and got the first fall around 4:34 something. I pulled him up and went for a powerbomb but got reversed and flipped over. Beniot pulled me up and began to beat him down. I got to my knees and low blowed Beniot and got as many weapons as I could and began a spot'fest. Soon Shane came down and the two beat me down! Soon I got beat down and Beniot a submission... one to one. at 1:43 Jericho came running down. I throw down my controller in a fit since Chris is one of my enemies and I thought it glitched and now two inteferences were allowed. But he turned around and hit Shane then I got a DVD onto the stairs but it was a two count. On the outside Shane and Chris were having a truly classic brawl, going back and forth. I went outside where Beniot and hit another DVD through the table. Another two count, I was pissed! I grabbed a weapon and Jericho and Shane were walking to their corners. Beniot basically moved out of the way and I slammed Jericho with the kendo stick. Wow this is long, at 33 seconds I slide back into the ring and Beniot got in a few more moves but I didn't tap, at 7 seconds I hit a Strong Sambo and pinned him! He kicked out and he locked in a submission and then the time ran out! Beniot kept the belt. So I faced him with CAW (and my SJL, check us out we're at the bottom of the boards) Insane Luchador in a normal match. I forgot to turn normal back on and I lost. I was livid so I simmed a match with the first CAW. I'll get that back today!

Guest Renegade Report post Posted June 4, 2002 Thanks to the brilliant no selling of SD2, my friend and i had a really good match: (after we turned KO and submission off) I was Stone cold, he was the Rock. It started out a slugfest, after a few moves and pin attempts i got my special and KICK WHAM STUNNER! Thinking i got the win early i went for the pin, but the shoulder popped up after 1. The match rocked back and forth again, then KICK WHAM STUNNER, i did a normal stunner on the Rock (the one that doesnt require a special). I pinned Rock again, but he kicked out after 2. The match spilled to the outside, and i was put through both tables. He tossed me back into the ring and nailed the DDT cover and kickout and 2 and 2/3 almost. After more brawling, i tossed him to the ropes, but Rock countered with a small package, and damn it was som close to clinching the three. I made a beeline at Rock, spinebuster followed by the elbow, Somehow i kicked out (God bless the no selling of SD2). I thought i had him but nope, reversal and right into the rock bottom. I kicked out again! Rock pick me up again but went for a lariat, but i ducked and KICK WHAM STUNNER! This had to be it, but no cause Rocks feet were to cloose to the ropes (maybe if he didnt do that flip when he sold it!). After many more near counts, the Rock bottom was hit again and my friend won. Why cant you actually move your opponent on the floor in the SD games?
Guest Report post Posted June 5, 2002 My brother and I had a thirty minute long match on WCW vs. NWO: World Tour, I was Rey rey and he was Flair, he ended up tearing my mask off and beating me but the match was full of reversals, great moves and alot of out-of-the-ring action courtesy of myself. To see something funny on this game, play a tag team match where you have to beat both opponents to win and beat one, he should go outside of the ring, don't mess with him, after a minute or so, he will fall down, I thought it was kind of funny when I first saw it. Guest Flyboy Report post Posted June 5, 2002 Hee... I didn't know about that one. One I used a bunch when going for the title is where you get the opponent to chase you outside, and when they get to a certain ring post, they'll get stuck. Then, I'd just slide in and win by countout.
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Today I had a match on Smackdown: Just Bring It with Ric Flair (CAW) versus Eddie Guerrero. I (Flair) had to not only fight off Eddie, but the other three Radicalz, who all came down to the ring at some point and made an impact (Benoit gave me a German suplex, Malenko gave me a dropkick to the back of the head, Saturn gave me a DVD, and all three of them did various "hotshots" from outside the ring). I fought back to get two figure-fours on Eddie, but he didn't give up. Then I kicked out of the brainbuster at 2.95, and got a third figure-four a few seconds later to win. The whole thing went about 13 minutes, and it just looked very real with realistic bumps and selling and interference and stuff. It was certaily better than the match at KOTR. Guest Doomsault Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Guess my old post got deleted, oh well. Me and my brother had a match on WCW vs. NWO: World Tour, I was Rey Jr. and he was Ric Flair. It was about 45 minutes long and full of reversals and we used about every move we each had, lots of high flying by me and technical skills by him. He ended up tearing my mask off and beating me in the end but we were both bloody.(It can be done by repeatedly doing eye rakes)
Guest caboose Report post Posted June 28, 2002 WWF Warzone on the Playstation. Me, and three of my friends(Alistair, Sanj and Eddie) had a lttle tournament under the No-Holds Barred Mode. We each picked one wrestler. I was HBK, Alistair was Austin, Sanj was Undertaker, and Eddie was Triple H. I beat Eddie with the SweetChinMusic in 7 minutes to get to the final, and Alistair beat Sanj after 23minutes! with the Grapple Stunner. We all agreed that match was the best we'd evr seen. That was until the final. In a rematch of WrestlemMania 14, HBK(me) and Austin(Alistair) squared off. After about 30 minutes I was in Dark Red and had been for about ten minutes, but I had turned it up a notch and avoided all possible pin falls. Austin had stunnered HBK and thats what got me into Dark Red, but because the fans were chanting for HBK at the time, I kicked out. Austin was only in orange and after sidestepping another Stunner attempt, I went for the crucifix pin and got the three out of nowhere! That was the most awesome wrestling game experience I ever had.
