What up dawgs. Yo yo yo......mkay, enough of that, anyhoo, I just bought Taxi Driver on DVD and just want to say something.

I had seen this before, but never was a big fan until this recent viewing. This is when I realized the full quality of all of the features in this movie.

1.) The cinemetography is the main strong point of this movie, with a perfect outlook on life from the dark thresh holds of a Taxi Driver's view. The lighting and camera work is perfect, and the relative graniness and constant panning of the neon lit city life are a lot of what has to do with what brings this movie to life.

2.) The script is also a fantacular and spectastic edition to the film, with Travis' diary entries constantly helping the viewer understand his outlook on life. I really couldn't find an uninteresting point in this movie, save a half-a-dozen 2-5 minute scenes. The script here really brings the characters to life.

3.) Let me just say that the acting is PERFECT in this movie, or at least pretty damn close. If you're not a fan of the movies, I can't hold anything against you but you simply can't deny DeNiro's stunning performance in this movie. All of the supporting cast members like Jodie, Mel, Harvey, and Cybil also do wonderful jobs.

Well, I try to keep my rants relatively short, and my opinion doesn't really matter so I tried to keep it brief. This movie ruled IMO, but what I really matters to me is the opinions of every other member of this board. So please state your opinion of this Scorsese flick and a reason or two. Thanks, and snooch to the noonch! ;)

Best. Movie. Ever.

Directing, Writing, Acting, everything down to the lighting was perfect, and although I've got the DVD, if they ever did a 2-disc SE with commentary and all that good stuff, I'd buy it the second the price lowered unless I got it for christmas or something
