About posting piks in gif. format on this board

Im confused i have microsoft picture it publishing 2001..and everytime i try to convert a pik to gif. format..being that's it's the only format you can post piks on in here..it sucks all of the color out..so does paint, every time i put it in there..its it the shytty pik program i have..

 

I notice all of the images are clear on here..what program do you guys use..paint shop 7 ?..and where to they host gif. format piks..because i notice all of the sites like image event, does..jpeg images only..thanks..i appreciate it if anyone can answer..

Uh.  Take a look at the picture below.  Its a .jpg.  I dunno what you're talking about.  I use PSP 7, great program.  

 

Try www.ranchoweb.com for image hosting, its where I host mine.  1 mb for free, and they support linking like you see below.

Thanks man..seriously mostly every time i try to post a pik..it says that it dosen't support that format..only gif. ..but maybe it's my computer..thanks again..will check it out

Yes, ranchoweb.com is what I use too.

 

GIF format shouldn't suck all the color out. Make sure it's set to RGB Color, not Grayscale or whatever.

Dayum..i am very green about gif. format..but what program do you use to get to RGB Color, because microsoft picture it publishing 2001 sucks all of the color out, just like when i right a pik and try to convert it to gif. with paint, not paint shop 7..but paint that windows has. ..thanks 4 all of the help..
