Guest HBK16 Report post Posted May 30, 2002 I thought it was a great game. The Avs were getting tossed all over the place. What was up with Yelle's neck injury? I was expecting more of a leg injury. And what about the challenge with the stick. Can someone give me some info on why they did that. I missed that part so maybe I can understand why they challenged it. It was weird becasue I haven't seen someone challenge a stick in years. I am glad that Red Wings won. I hope they get to the Stanley Cup finals. I can't stand the Avs. P.S. Toronto should have won dammit!!!

Guest HBK16 Report post Posted May 30, 2002 Yeah he did. Something went horribly wrong. I also thought he was going to make up for that too and he did for a while but lost it again. I thought he looked a little sloppy. But on the other hand, Hasek played an awesome game. That save he made when he fell into the puck and somehow didn't go in. Great day to be that guy. Guest hockeytown9321 Report post Posted May 30, 2002 Hartley thought he had some inside information that Hasek was using an illegal stick. On TV they said Hartley asked for a stick from Hasek earlier this year to give to his son, which Hasek did give, so maybe that's where he got his info. Hartley is getting blamed for making the decision, but I think it was a smart move (And I'm a Red Wing fan). He was fairly sure it was illegal, and his team was already on the power play, so it's a possible 2 man adv., and at worst it gives the Red Wings about a minute on the power play. Chances are the Av's score on the 5 on 3, they get energized by a late goal, and play differently in the third.
