Guest Vyce Report post Posted May 31, 2002 Well, it only took 3 men and the constant reminding that he was still injured from HitC to beat HHH this week. I guess he was feeling generous.

Guest Vyce Report post Posted May 31, 2002 Hey, Fit Finlay shaved off all his hair. How sad is it that Finlay, as he is now, is still a better wrestler than the Undertaker?
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted May 31, 2002 All four men were great in the cruiserweight match. Especially Tajiri... he has been getting a bit stale lately, mainly his arsenal of moves and I'm glad he didn't use a few of his signature spots in this match, or at least executed them in a different fashion. He didn't use the Handspring Elbow, and he didn't (successfully) lock in the Tarantula from the corner. The Surfboard head banging thing was great, as was the SSP... my biggest mark out of the night, thus far...

Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted May 31, 2002 Recommendation: Tape the Cage match. Sweet Jesus tape the cage match. All I saw was the cruisertag and the cage match, and HHH's match vs. Test (which was surprisingly good; test you bumping machine) and JOHNNY MOTHERFUCKIN ACE and FIT FUCKIN FINLAY HAVE TO BE A TEAM! "S.T.U.D.S."... that is what I would call em. So from the 3 matches I saw I can say this... SMACKDOWN ROOLED! SHOOTING STAR PLANCHA! AJ STYLES eat your heart out! That was one swank cruiser match with a piss poor ending. Why does Billy Kidman seem to take off more and more clothing every year? WHEN WILL HE STOP!? WHERE WILL HE STOP!!!?? Test was a bumping machine aka HHH's bitch throughout the match which was surprising and refreshing (test the bumping machine...not the hhh bitch). The cage match ruled it... That's all I will say... Guest Vyce Report post Posted May 31, 2002 Why does Billy Kidman seem to take off more and more clothing every year? Because we demand it! I prefer the "simple t-shirt & cut-off jeans", aka "fully clothed" Kidman ensemble, but what do I know about fashion? Seriously, though, tonight I finally discovered whether Billy was a helmet or a peeler. Information I didn't want. Almost as traumatizing as seeing Albert in his briefs. Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted May 31, 2002 I hate Michael Fucking Cole. He's repeated certain phrases at least 5-6 times tonight, most notably "Maze of Twisted Steel", "Brutal Hell in the Cell", and "I suck Goat Penis". Ok, maybe the last one he didn't say, but he was thinking it.

Guest bcu1979 Report post Posted May 31, 2002 Come on now. Give Michael Cole some credit. He did have the line of the night. After showing clips of Taker's beatdown on Triple H, Cole called it "a beating that seemed to go on for an eternity." Was it just because the crowd could have cared less or was that one of the most boring beatdowns in recent memory? They drop the feud two months ago because the crowd crapped on the match. Now, they bring it back and the crowd is even more apathetic. Edge and Angle busted their asses in the cage match. It's a shame that they had to put all the heat on Hogan at the end though. And I don't care how good Angle's matches are or how great his promos are. He is not going to be taken seriously as a main eventer until they end this stupid wig gimmick. Does anything they are doing with Jericho make any sense? One minute they are talking about how tough he is and the next minute he has to cheat to beat Faarooq. The announcers could have at least sold that neckbreaker as some kind of new finisher for Jericho. I'd like to believe that they are actually building up to something with Jericho and Vince here. But I'm not going to get my hopes up. I was impressed with how well Jericho was able to carry Faarooq. Did anyone else hear Cole call Vince a master manipulator? Funny. A couple weeks ago Jericho called himself and Angle the masters of manipulation during a backstage skit. I guess someone liked the name but felt it shouldn't be given to two "comedy acts." So, they give it to Vince instead and make Jericho and Angle his pawns. This Dawn Marie/Vince thing better end next week when Stacy comes back. She can get jealous so Vince pawns Dawn Marie off on Lance Storm to calm Stacy down.
Guest The Vanilla Midget Report post Posted May 31, 2002 Come on now. Give Michael Cole some credit. He did have the line of the night. After showing clips of Taker's beatdown on Triple H, Cole called it "a beating that seemed to go on for an eternity." eh, dont you love shoot comments that arent supposed to be shoot comments. and i would give cole credit if he said that deliberately. of course he didnt, so really he is still as big if not a bigger dickhead than ever, and one quasi-entertaining comment *definitely* doesnt make up for the "maze of steel(?)" he was yammering about all show. Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted May 31, 2002 The HHH match really bothered me, but not so much as Hogan screwing Angle. I become more and more angered with both every week. I already boycott every Hogan segment, and was very disappointed to see him screw with the main event. He can't even screw with a main event right! PS: Too... many... Angleslams... Angle now really really needs a new finisher.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted May 31, 2002 Hurricane used the Pendulum! I haven't seen that move used by anyone since the final episode of Thunder (can't remember by whom) although it is slightly... homoerotic Jason Jett. So, you mean to tell me that after HITC, HHH gets to feud w/ UT for the belt, and it takes 3 guys to beat him in a match, while Jericho is barely pulling out wins against Mark Henry & Farooq? Guest Brian Report post Posted May 31, 2002 Me thinks they're rebuilding him up. Last time this happened, he looked terribly unmotivated. This time he looks really up to it. I'm thinking Heyman made some kind of concession to him. Wasn't it funny that Johnny Ace had to duck everytime he was near Taker in that segment so he wouldn't look as big as him? Guest Report post Posted May 31, 2002 "l'm 5'7 and i wear the same size shoe as Hogan. He must have a small foot(and small manhood) " Something i could have gone with out thinking about. But I thought SMACKDOWN was good i mean Randy Orton really got a decent match outta Taker...HHH lost witch is always a big deal. The Cage match rocked and a SSP plancha. I just wish Bossman was on both shows so he could show kKidman the rightway to do a SSP. Ya know?
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted May 31, 2002 I enjoyed this show last night. There was some solid cruiser action and it is always cool seeing a SSP on regular TV. That said, Kidman outta save that spot for a PPV where it might mean something. I also liked the cage match, though it goes below the RVD/Eddie match since it didn't have that chaotic vibe to it where it seemed anything could happen and someone could get seriously hurt. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted May 31, 2002 That Maven match showed exactly why he shouldn't be on WWeee tv. He's lucky he only broke his leg. He about broke his damn neck on that dive to the outside he took. But other then a few matches and Hogan Smackdown wasn't that bad at all. Some say that Randy Orton's moveset is too simple and old school, but it's working well for him and he's looking better and better every week.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted May 31, 2002 Maven broke his leg? How... through a messed-up bump he took in a match? Without sounding pretentious, if he'd have had more legit training it probably wouldn't have happened...
