Recommended Posts

so when does Pillman come out? I have seen 9/26, but is that right?

Yes, it comes out on the 26th.

Here's to hoping that Brian Pillman's DVD will totally out-sell Vince McMahon's DVD. That will make me smile.

sweet, hope we get some in at CC (we should as we have been getting all the dvds lately)Actually I doubt we have sold any of the Mcmahon dvds as there are a ton of them still here.

Pillman was wrestling Eddie G at a Clash and I think was dropkicked out of the ring, he landed out by the announce table and I think grabbed the Brain in a awkward attempt to place him in front of himself and Eddie.

The Pillman DVD's gonna be $14.99 at CC when it's released. Summerslam's gonna be $12.99 and you get a free copy of John Cena's DVD with it. Still a rip-off.

Well, they just sold me SummerSlam. I never bought Cena's DVD, and getting both for 12.99 is an awesome deal, as is Pillman's as well--but I was already buying that one.

How do you know these things, is why does CC all of a sudden (well, actually over the last few months) have WWE DVD's super cheap? I bet both Pillman's and SS go for 19.99 at Best Buy.

the low price is only for the first week, then they will go to the reg price (all the other wwe ppv dvds here are 17.99 regular, and 2 disc sets like Pillmans are usually 19.99 reg price)

Actually we already have next weeks ad in the store for the employees to look at and they indeed have both pillman and ss advertised. I work tonight and then dont work again till next weds (I told you guys they were cutting hours badly) so hopefully we have some copies left (probably as the recent wwe dvds havent sold that well here)the next day. Good thing Im getting paid today lol

actually yesterday I got Vengeance 06 and GAB 06 for 15 bucks each with my employee discount (I figured I would watch those before I get the summerslam one)

as well as a game for ps2 (true crime:nyc which is in the clearance bin for 8.96 but with my discount it was only 6.76, so I figured what the hell)

pillman and SS since they are on sale next week I can't use the discount but they are alreayd pretty cheap anyhow so no big whoop.

as a funny aside note, I saw some kid buy a cena dvd yesterday, I almost felt bad and was going to tell him about the deal next week, then I thought, "the hell with that, he may take a copy from me"

Hulk Hogan's new dvd "The Ultimate Anthology" coming out on October 17th will also be available as a 4-disc set on wweshop.com. Previous reports said that only Wal-Mart would have the 4-disc version and other retailers would have the regular 3-disc version.

They had the Pillman dvd out early in some of the finer shops of Manhattan (i.e the porn shops that sell regular movie in the front) and I picked it up 2 days ago.

This is a great DVD. First-class all the way. Everything you could want of the guy in 2 discs is here. You even have his wedding video and interviews with his kid. The saddest part of the dvd is when you get to his daughter and she states "I wish I could remember him. But I don't." It's a great story and a great dvd. On the DVD Bishoff reveals that a couple of weeks before his death Pillman called Bishoff about possibily returning to WCW. So a lot is revealed on the main dvd feature.

As for the bonus matches 99% of them start after the entrances but the matches are uncut excpet no Jesse Ventura on his WCW matches. The 2nd almost runs 3 hours and the first disc with the extras and the main feature are about 3 hours too so it's a 6 hour affair.

Also providing great insghit on th DVD are Heyman, Ross, Austin and Foley. Only the best mnids in the wrestling buisness are on this dvd. No comments from McMahon or heenan. Although they do have Heeenan's "Whhat the fuck?" moment and the "I respect you Bookerman" moment on the main feature. You pretty much get 85% of the "I respect you bookerman" segment on the dvd. Just great stuff. If you even had a passing intrest in Pillman, pick it up. A must-own dvd.

I'm surprised Best Buy does not have Pillman's DVD on sale. It is listed as $23.99, but Circuit City has it available at $14.99. Plus Summerslam is on sale for 12.99, with Cena's Word Life for free.

lol, no actually if my past experience is correct, they get the new dvds on monday, and start to put them under the counter in our section on monday, then put them out in the aisels and our behind the counter "hotlist" (they keep most of the new dvds under the counter and a few "cased" ones in the new section (cuz they have to be cased cuz they are new so considered "high theft"

that being said I can probably have a coworker hold one for me somehow, but its tough,

but judging the last few wwe dvds to come out here since I started, they dont sell all that well anyhow

ill see what happens tom, but maybe I can bum a ride there tuesday

Yup! I got my copy very early too (last Friday) and watched it over the weekend. I have to echo bushwick's statements. Excellent DVD, very sincere I thought, with some fun and great matches to boot. Definitely a must-add to your collection!
