At King of the Ring, all the black people who were cut should all join together and recreate the Nation of Domination. No, in all seriousness, as a black person myself, i didnt see anything racist in the cutting of some of the more ethnic cast members. It just pisses me off that every show has to have some kind of "Ethnic Character". It seemed to me that WWE wanted to pick maybe 2 or 3 black contestants to avoid this perception, if they picked one and cut him in the first couple of shows, then it would still be precieved as racist. Hell, even if Kenny, Darryl, Robert, Shadrick and Linda all made it to the WWE and didnt hit the top of the card some would still cry foul, which is just wrong for some to think (Most of the time at least)

Dave Meltzer had this to say about the Tough Enough picks:

Okay, I'm going to lose my temper on this one. Jake. Here's the situation. Instead of praising WWE for not making the cosmetic decision of picking someone simply based on looks and physique, they don't, and now people are hammering them for it. If Jake had the ability, he had a leg up on everyone else there because of his look. Think for a second. They love guys with the right look, so if they didn't pick him, it must have been what? Out of the four, he was the one who wasn't at the level of the others inside the ring. Congratulations. As for Kenny, he was the best in the ring. As Tough Enough 1 showed, if he wants it bad enough, he can work indies and because of the show, he can get bookings and word will get out. WWE knows him, which puts him well above everyone else on the indie scene. The coaches (Guerrero and Ivory in particular) liked him. It's not the end of the world. He just doesn't get in on the fast track. For that matter, it wouldn't shock me if they signed Jake to a developmental deal in a few months as well, because they did sign Matt Murphy (largely because Jim Ross was enamored of his size, football background and that he came from a good background) and he literally showed up at square one, and Jake has more natural charisma. If they don't, his name and look will get him indie bookings and everyone knows him. He has a big edge again and if he can learn to perform, his look will be a huge advantage. If he doesn't make it, it will be because he doesn't want it bad enough or because he can't perform. I've been around dozens of indie guys who can perform great and talk great that never got a look. Life was unfair to him last night? You can complain about Kenny but he's the master of his destiny (and I would have picked him but I understood Jackie was the TV star of the group and she was getting it no matter what). Anyone who spends any time in the gym sees guys like Jake every day. They look like wrestlers, but if they can't wrestle, what does look like a wrestler mean? What does wrestling need with another Van Hammer? Because people would see him in the airport and say he looks like a wrestler, and they wouldn't say that if they saw Toshiaki Kawada? The one thing he had going for him is he was in great condition, did well on the non-wrestling physical drills and he took the punishment and never came close to quitting so he's a tough guy. But ultimately, his interviews were nothing special, his ring work was not strong and those are two very important ingredients. If not, somebody should just cull the ranks of 6-2 and above male models and gas them up and create a wrestling promotion.

The WWE has either released or refused to sign some very talented wrestlers in the past 18 months or so and that fact just makes me more mad at this Tough Enough crap where totally undeserving people get a contract put on their laps so easily. I hoped they might give the contracts to two guys this year instead of wasting one on a woman and they go and do the complete opposite! I thought they already had more than enough women employed to produce 'exotic' videos and magazines?
