who thinks Linda shouldnt of gottan picked, I mean Jake and Kenny both have their own individual talents

Jake: well obviously enough he has the look, he turned into a somewhat decent worker by the end of the show, and with some charisma tuning he can be a high midcarder

Kenny: he has the ability of making other wrestlers look better.  In a time when Hogan Taker and HHH are stinking up the matches night after night, a wrestler that can come oin and make these guys look good is something that can really raise their credibility.  If it wasn't for the infamous flight than I am positive he would have won rather than Linda

if you have beefs also, then put em here

yep, shes ugly, which is probably the precise reason why nidia from TE1 is not on tv.  why waste the deal on her, when the guy had a great look and could have become a decent worker?~~~FOOLISHNESS!!

Linda ain't that bad looking. Jackie's better looking, but still...

As for the contracts...the guys  got fucked in this one. I understand it was a tough choice between Linda and Jackie, but if they really had that much trouble picking a female winner, they should've had them share the title and given the male title to either Jake or Kenny. It's not fair to advertise as one male and one female champion and then just change the rules at the last minute, especially when Kenny seemed to be the best out of the group.

How are they going to push the ladies?  Jackie has a bad knee and will most likely be another personal assistant of Mr McMahon and Linda is just a taller version of Jazz minus the talent.

Kenny should of been the 2nd winner but since he is a party animal, he was given the boot.

That's where you are wrong: they never advertised this season of TE as one male and one female winner.  They simply said two contracts would be awarded.

I might have to agree with you, Brian.  Plus I think Jake really shot himself in the foot when he told Kevin Dunn several times that he was a slow learner, even after Dunn said you have to learn things fast in the WWF.

You gotta admit tho, if you worked as hard as Jake or Kenny, and lost you're spot to a girl w/ a bum knee, all b/c of sympathy (that's what it was in my opinion) then you'd feel like you got the shaft too

Yes, I'd be bummed too.  But think about it: doesn't this happen very often in the big league?  Isn't this a common occurence for a wrestler to be pushed to opening match, or a dark match, of a B show in favor of a old has been wrestler, or a ladies match, etc?  So this is really not a new phenomena.

Yeah, look at last week's Velocity.  Tajiri and Kidman put on a hell of a show, but the only match pushed was the Stacy/Trish match, and that's what probaby drew in a good 25% of the viewers.

I don't see why everyone is up in arms over the Toiugh Enough results. Jake was portrayed as a guy who couldn't wrestle. Remember when Al Snow was telling Jake that it wasn't a bodybuilding competition? I don't know if Jake had all that great of a look anyway. How would he stack up to the other wrestlers? I remember them saying that Pete was really small, but he didn't look that small to me. Kenny is not a star and never will be a star. A wrestler who won't be a star but can make people look good is a jobber. I don't think they would go through all of the stuff they did just so they could add a jobber to the roster. Jackie is a decent looking girl and I think her injury is the only reason why there is any debate over her winning the contest. I think she had a very good shot throughout the entire show. I think there is money to be made if they bring her mother in though. That woman was a bitch. Linda is a good looking grl and she looked pretty good in the ring. I have no problem with her winning since I wanted her to win since the beginning.

I've got a big problem with any woman winning a contract, how many females do you honestly need in a wrestling organization for christ's sake? The WWE already has some women under contract who obviously aren't at a good enough level to be seen on TV so way are they wasting their time on adding another? The Maven/Nidia situation surely would have taught them something you would presume. Either get a few Japanese girls in to make a womens division worthwhile or just forget it, its an insult to talented and dedicated wrestlers everywhere that these chancers should get contracts.

Anorak, that is a rather sexist comment you made.  The WWE does not have many talented female wrestlers, either on tv or in the developmental leagues.  They have a few who the company would consider "wrestlers" but not many.  So it makes sense to award contracts to talented women who could bolster the ladies division.

And sorry to say, the vast majority of the North American audience does not want to see unattractive, albeit talented lady Japanese wrestlers.

I think the Women's division is the source of most of the good matches that you see on tv. I can't remember what I was watching when RAW was on, but when Trish Stratus was about to come to the ring, I instinctively prepared to turn the channel. I hesitated for a second though because the women's matches have been pretty good lately. I turned the channel anyway though.

holy.  i'm glad i found this thread.  the wwe must see something in these two ladies.  if they turn out to both be solid in reing performers then the wwe has lita, trish, molly, jackie, ivory, jazz, victoria, maybe nidia, and the TE2 winners.  that's a pretty decent group of woman wrestlers who might even keep their own division going one day.

The problem is fans don't care about women's wrestling, they sit on their hands for 2-3 minutes while the women do their best not to blow any spots. Stacy Keibler gets a bigger pop by waving her backside every week than any of the proper female wrestlers do so what's the point? We all know this is never going to change.

It still pisses me off that soon they're gonna have like 10 mavens running around dropkicking everyone. They only need ONE! if that.

You know what killed the show for me was at the end of the finale they had a thing where it was like "Winners of TE2 receive the new sony laptop and Ericson phone" not the exact quote but along the lines all I could think about was the whole show is based around the premise that all these people are competing for is a shot to be a WWF superstar and then they start having prizes like the Price is Right it just made it less wrestling training and more game show.

I'm still mad that they cut out Jericho explaining why he doesn't use the Lion Tamer the right way anymore.

Bastards.

I watched it tonight, and it was crap. If they were that high on Jackie they should've given her a contract when she had rehabbed from her surgery. It also pisses me off that Matt or whoever got a developmental deal already. He lasted about halfway through the show and got his contract over a month before the winners did. That makes no sense, and the show is worthless. Kenny was better then Jake in the ring, but Jake was getting better and had a good look.

If past history is any indication the girls will be in OVW for a year (Jackie will have to get surgery first so if you count that, she'll be in OVW for probably close to two years who'll will care about her then?) and one of the guys would've been up in 3 - 4 months doing one shots here and there before then.

I don't know for sure if they said 1 male winner and 1 female winner. I know for a fact they did for TE1 and I'm almost positive they were saying that in the beginning of TE2. I could go on and on but I'll finish right here: the men were robbed, Jackie was better then Linda, and the WWF just gave it to Jackie to make a good story.

OK, granted we didn't see everything the trainers and producers did, since we got the edited footage.  But having watched the finale twice now, I don't see the appeal with Linda at all.  Even with a bum knee, Jackie looked better in the ring than Linda, and I just don't get the purpose of the "Hot Sexy Mocha" gimmick.  The only reason the Brooklyn Brawler let her use that backstage at Raw is because he couldn't think of anything worse.

Stupid stupid stupid decision

Me either, but still.... *shrugs*

Maybe her gimmick will involve her drinking coffee as she came down the ramp for a match... who knows?

That would be funny as hell to see someone come down to the ring sipping a starbucks coffee or something.

I have to believe that the picked Linda to have a black woman that did not look completely jacked I know Linda is built but she still looks like a woman unlike Jackie and Jazz.

Maybe the WWE felt that they *had* to pick a black person... scared of another lawsuit from someone?  *shrugs* (I don't think Maven is black, is he?)

I can see it now in Linda's first match...

She's getting whipped by Trish, and the ref is down... she grabs her coffee from the apron and throws the coffee in Trish's face.

JR:  LORD ALMIGHTY, SCALDIN' COFFEE IN TRISH'S FACE!!  THAT DEVIL-WOMAN, HOT MOCHA HAS STRUCK AGAIN!

King: ... It was her first match, JR.  And, what if the coffee was cold?  (logic note: that would be dumb if Trish sold it, but still)

JR: ... The caffine in the eyes of Trish!!  Damn you, Mocha!  Damn you!

Uh oh...

Don't let the WWE see this!  Might give them ideas on how to ruin Jericho even more!

I think it's because it's too painful, Big..

But that's my speculation.

..or more accurately, the angle the victim's neck is placed at. If one is not careful, and the ammount of neck injuries as it is anyway..*crunch*

Besides, he has problems putting larger people in the Walls now..I don't think he'd be able to pull the Liontamer on some of these guys. Even if it does look painful.
