What other matches were of this calibur? Plus are there any DVDs out there with these types of matches or will i have to do the download thing?

That match is actually the worst of the series! Dynamite Kid vs. Tiger Mask. (April 23, 1981) -- Their first match -- Watch for the band playing in the background Dynamite Kid vs. Tiger Mask. (January 01, 1982) Dynamite Kid vs. Tiger Mask. (January 28, 1982) Dynamite Kid vs. Tiger Mask. (July 23, 1982) Dynamite Kid vs. Tiger Mask. (August 05, 1982) Dynamite Kid vs. Tiger Mask. (August 30, 1982 MSG Dynamite Kid vs. Tiger Mask. (April 21, 1983)-- Although a good number will disagree I have this as one of the best wrestling matches of all time. The german suplex battle here is the most hightened sense of danger, anticipation and suspense I've ever seen Not sure if I missed one there or not. I always seem to forget about a match. To appreciate the matches to their utmost you've got to put your mindset to what it'd be like watching these in the 1980s. You've got to understand that Tiger is the most undefeatable/amazing (in a kayfabe sense) wrestler of all time. You've got to rethink your mindset on what wrestling moves are actually lethal. Guest Super Leather Report post Posted February 9, 2006 I dig that match, personally. I like how when the match starts, the crowd doesn't really care...but eventually they come around and by the end of the match, the MSG crowd is totally into it. That's how I saw it anyway. It would have been nice if this match had shown up on either of the Dynamite Kid bootleg videos I picked up a while ago. HighSpots.com has a nifty triple-DVD set of Dynamite Kid matches, including two of the better Tiger Mask matches and some later British Bulldogs stuff. Great quality. I think that's where I also got a VHS tape that has even more DK vs. Tiger Mask matches, but the video quality isn't as good. If that's not terribly important to you, I say get them both. The series of matches that the original Tiger Mask had against the Dynamite Kid is some of the best fast-paced, high-flying wrestling you'll ever see. Those two meshed together very well. It's insane to think that they were doing that stuff in 1982 when you could easily see Chris Benoit and Rey Misterio having the same match today and not think twice about it. Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted February 10, 2006 Hey wildpegasus, which ones the impromptu 2/3 falls one? 4/21/83. I'm going to write a big piece on this for the "What are you watching?" thread someday. I've written stuff a good amount of stuff about it here and there but never an entire review. Guest Dr Stupid Report post Posted February 10, 2006 Can someone fill me in on some detail? Was there more than one Tiger Mask?
World's Worst Man 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2006 Other promotions acquired the rights to the Tiger Mask gimmick after the original left New Japan. The 2nd Tiger Mask was Mitsuharu Misawa in All Japan. The 3rd Tiger Mask was Koji Kanemoto from New Japan. The 4th Tiger Mask had no real identity outside of the Tiger Mask gimmick. He originally started using the gimmick while with Michinoku Pro, but jumped to New Japan a few years ago.
Guest Super Leather Report post Posted February 17, 2006 Was there ever any kind of a back story to the DK/Tiger Mask rivalry? Or was it just one of those things where they happened to click so well that they just had to continually book matches between the two?
