Guest OKCoyote Report post Posted February 14, 2006 Mere minutes after Christian Fury slammed the door to the office of SWF General Manager Joseph Peters, the door opens again. In point of fact, the door is thrown violently open as an enraged Kevin Coyote barges in. "We need to talk," says Coyote as he slams the door shut behind him. "Can't anyone treat that door kindly?" asks Peters to no one in particular. "I assume you know what happened to me after my match on Lockdown?" Coyote asks. "If you're referring to the unprovoked attack on you in the parking lot, I know all too well. As a matter of fact, I had a bet going with Mr. Flesher as to which MacDougal would show up here first. Looks like I lost." Peters suppresses a grin. "And it is only out of concern for your well-being that I don't suspend you now for barging in here without an appointment or even checking in with my secretary. You should know better than that." Coyote rolls his eyes at the brief verbal dressing down, but Peters lets it pass. "Now, what is it you came in here for?" "William Hearford," grunts Coyote. Peters looks slightly clueless. "Yes, what about him?" "I want a match with him." Peters raises an eyebrow. "You're kidding, right?" "Not in the least," replies Coyote. "Hearford has wanted me gone since I got here. He threatened to go public with my birth certificate, and he was behind the attack on Lockdown. I'm sure of it." "Of that I have no doubt," Peters agrees. "However, I can't grant your request. It's impossible." "Why not?" Coyote asks. "It's not exactly uncommon these days for staff members to lace up their boots again and get in the ring. Hell, you do it to Ced Ordonez all the time." "True enough," answers Peters. "But there's another reason I can't give you Hearford. He's no longer a staff member in the SWF. I fired him right after Lockdown went off the air." "What?!" Coyote is outraged. "You fired him? And denied me a chance to get back at him?" "You know, contrary to what you may believe, this league does not revolve around you," warns Peters. "Hearford was involved in a number of underhanded activities, many of which did not include you, but culminated in that ugly incident. That kind of behavior could not be tolerated and thus, I terminated him." Coyote shakes his head. "Listen, dog. You saw what I did to LDP." "You mean, your father?" Peters prods. "I won't even dignify that with a response," answers Coyote. "But you saw what I did to him. You know what I'm capable of. How far do you expect me to go to earn some respect around here?" "How far? Is that some kind of threat?" "Of course not, dog," mutters Coyote. "I certainly wouldn't want to do anything that would endanger my employment in this company." Peters nods, nonplussed. "See that you don't." ------------------------------------ Moments after leaving the office, Coyote's cell phone rings. Coyote pulls the mobile out of the pocket of his jean jacket, flips it open, and addresses his familiar female caller. "Hey, baby." "...yeah, I spoke to the GM about Hearford, but Peters has already had him fired." "...what am I going to do next? Well, Avery... that's where you come in, girl." "...that's right. It's time to turn up the volume."
Toxxic 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2006 OK, now I'm definitely intrigued. But I'd mark out hard if Coyote was actually talking to Tex Avery all this time.
