Hogan's new magazine

Recommended Posts

I picked up a copy a couple weeks ago, and he had some interesting things to say about people he worked with:

Piper: medium-sized wrestler with the ego and attitude of a giant.  Fought hard in the ring, tough to do business with.  Lot of take, not much give.

Bundy: bsically said he was real stiff.

Orndorff: same here.  Said he knew he would come out of every one of their matches hurt.

Andre: couldn't quite make sense of his comments here.  Said it started out as a nightmare and he got the hell beat out of him every night.

DiBiase:  no highs or lows, steady, constant pulse.  He had it, but something was missing.  (so basically the same thing HHH said about Jericho)

Savage: great to work with.  Never clicked on his own, but when he and Liz were with him, it was gold.

Zeus: great actor, horrible wrestler.

Warrior: great gimmick, no staying power.  Didn't respect the business.

Quake: true pro.  Could have been dangerous, but was coordinated and talented enough to be a true pleasure to work with.

Sarge: in a lot better shape than he (Hogan) thought.  Was gonna try and showboat in front of the celebs at WM7, but Sarge made him forget and realize how serious WM was.

Flair: without a doubt the best wrestler ever born.

UT: unstoppable.  Could go as long as he wanted.  Always prevails no matter what.  Unbelievable gimmick, work ethic, and respected by all.

Sid: missed his calling.  Should have been the clean-up hitter on a softball team.

Yoko: total pro.  Career ended way too soon.  Wishes he could have taken better care of himself.  Great to work with.

Rock: made him (Hogan) wanna wrestle again. Proved to Hogan the old-school work ethic will always survive.  Main-event style, first class person, good as gold.

Thoughts?

Did he not say anything about Austin?

He never had a program with Austin.

Funny thing is in the pic where they show his room with all his hulkamania shit, you can see the Fist helmet in clear view in the front. He must be so proud of that.

Man, Hogan really said some candid statements, but did ya notice how he said nice things about all he's still working with or those who were dead?

calling them stiff workers and that they almost killed them and there difficult to work with aint exactly the greatest compliments in the world. Yet still a good read, i agree

I think it's funny/surprising that he had such high praise for Earthquake of all people.

Yeah, who knew Hogan could be so brutal? I remember i was laughing my ass off when he said Kidman cant draw flies, then Kidman said "Who else would know how to draw flies then a piece of shit like you", man, let kidman speak!

His comments about Savage pissed me off... which kind of shows how egotistical he can be at times. I mean, he was basically saying "Savage wasn't worth shit without me" which is complete bs. The moment Savage won the title at WM was so great because finally, Hogan wasn't in the background posing, hogging the spotlight
